"We found that the people (those serving at UShaka Marine World, shops, restaurants) weren't that friendly. Some areas of Durban were very rundown and apartment buildings looked like they needed to be condemned and not have people living in them. Compared to Cape Town city I was very disappointed in the lack of maintenance. The Indian Ocean was cold when I expected it to be much warmer. I'm glad I went and took young people who enjoyed it, but I don't need to go back."
