"Hogsback is a beautiful little place. The locals are very friendly and restaurants are reasonably priced! Scenery is beautiful! It would be advisable to not go in a normal car because the roads are bad, especially after it has rained!"
"Peace and tranquility. My 5 year old daughter wants to move to Hogsback permanently."
"All I can say is wow. First timers and will definitely be back. You can see so much and when we returned we felt so relaxed."
"Hogsback is fantastic and highly recommend as a getaway for locals and foreigners alike. My only negative comment is the standard of the roads which could be easily filled and graded to make it a more accessible destination for those who are not in 2 x 4 or 4 x 4 vehicles. There are so many amazing spots to visit and the local community is very warm and welcoming. We will be back!"
"The beautiful waterfalls are still absolutely breath-taking. A must for all nature lovers."
"Hogsback has been one of my favorite places to go to in the Eastern Cape for its beautiful lush forests and the wonderful walks, shops, restaurants and views. Covid-19 restrictions has taken its toll on this little gem of a town, so sad to see some places closed down and many had to minimize their services just to get by. May God have mercy on us all."
"Quaint and beautiful mountain forest village with some cool evenings still in its balmy December, mist rolling in so thick it was something to behold, as was the dew-sprinkled gardens in the morning! Amazing Madonna and child waterfall, but be warned the path is steep, slippery and harrowing - the walkway is unstable, broken and unsafe. But we did it! A few restaurants/pubs, our pick was The Lighthouse, with a huge central indoor fireplace and outside seating under lovely big shady trees. One for the books!"
