"We visited Clarens as there is always a hype about the town. Some very interesting but tourist-priced shops. Some good restaurants and the food at the Brewery was exceptional for pub food. Maybe we missed something but the town itself was a bit of a disappointment. But we enjoyed the area as the Sandstone mountains are really beautiful, and especially enjoyed the drive through the Maluti mountains around Golden Gate."

"Pragtige klein dorpie. Ongelukkig bitter min vir toeriste om te doen. Daar was geen restaurante oop op die Saterdagoggend nie, wat jammer is want ons moes na 'n naburige dorp gaan vir middagete. Daar is wel 'n staproete buite die dorp, nie stapafstand nie."
