Daar is so baie om te doen en sien. Verblyf het voldoen aan al ons behoeftes. Alles was baie skoon en netjies. Ons het baie veilig gevoel met elektriese omheining en voltydse sekuriteit. Gratis WiFi en Netflix was ook lekker. Goeie klientediens ontvang van verhuringsagent.

Was a nice place to stay in terms of location. I will not be going back to stay there again as we had a run-in with the cleaning lady who was very rude and unprofessional in dealing with us. Due to that, I will not recommend the accommodation to any of my family and friends.

Hello Shaun Thank you for your comments. On the day of your arrival my manager, Debbie, reported to me that she was at the apartment with the cleaning lady and was still busy cleaning the apartment when your party arrived. We had guests in the previous night so obviously had to clean before your arrival. She had an altercation with an elderly lady when she advised that we were still in the process of cleaning and your party had arrived before the check-in time. The security log indicated that you arrived at the property at 12:51pm for a 2pm check-in time. No arrangement had been made for an early check-in. According to my manager, the lady was rude to her and threatened to "put me into the Newspaper because I told her to wait until we are finished cleaning and that check in time is 2pm and check out 10am. She said she didn’t care and she doesn’t follow the rules of check ins. She was also rude to the Housekeeper as well. She also said their 4 adults and child that stay at Anchored in Plett". The booking however was for 3 adults and one child If you are not going to stay with us again, please make sure it is for the correct reasons. The reason for a check-in time is for us to ensure that we can have the place to a suitable standard between the previous guest check-out and the new guest check-in. Mooi uitsig en veilig, maar sal nie weer daar bly nie. Ek sal nie die verblyf aanbeveel nie. Alhoewel die uitsig baie mooi was op die stoepie en die plek netjies was toe ons daar aankom, was daar 'n paar teleurstellings. Daar was nie genoeg van die basiese kombuisgeriewe nie, en van dit was vuil, en die wasmasjien het nie gewerk nie. Maar die grootste teleurstelling was dat ons glad nie gaste kon oornooi om by ons te kuier nie. Mens verstaan heeltemal dat gaste nie kan oorslaap nie, en dit was die enigste reël oor gaste toe ons bespreek het. Maar die dag toe ons daar aankom het ons 'n boodskap gekry dat geen gaste daar mag kuier nie, anders word ons dadelik uit die plek verwyder. So ons kon nie eers net ons ouers nooi om Oukersaand by ons te kuier nie.

Hello Carmen Thank you for your response. I have replied to LekkeSlaap in an email with comments from my manager and will also reply on your review. The reason we do not allow visitors is because of my experience of more than 10 years of running guest accommodation businesses. I have learnt that often, when there are visitors, we tend to have problems with complaints from neighbours about noise etc. This may not have been the case with your visitors, however, I prefer to err on the side of caution. I notice that you did not mention in your review that you booked for 2 guests but also arrived with a child that was not part of the original booking. We did not take umbrage at this and decided to ignore this bit of omitted booking information. You also failed to mention that you requested to book 2 additional guests for the 24th and 25th of December 2023, which we agreed to. Were these perhaps the 'visitors' you were upset that we did not initially allow? My manager also disputes your comments about items that were not clean - I will, however, have to accept that we have differences here. Other than the above, I trust that you at least enjoyed your stay in Plettenberg Bay. Regards Dave Swart
