Stunning. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Your cabin is beautiful. Very well thought out. Very comfortable bed with excellent bedding. Everything we needed for our overnight and more. The shower water was nice and hot. We had a lovely stay. And we will most definitely return when passing by.

Perfection all round! Austrey Lodge is hard to beat. In fact, I'd say it's the best place we've ever stayed. Remote to the extreme, with an unforgettable setting and a stone cottage full of charm. The cottage has everything you need for some proper downtime. From the hot tub to the hammock and the comfortable furnishings, the wooden deck overlooking the dam, and unobscured views of the surrounding landscape. The cherry on top: No internet, no cell signal. Absolute bliss! Thanks for being such brilliant hosts.

Relaxing, scenic and restful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Austrey Lodge. Secluded and nestled away on the farm and off the beaten track allowed for much needed rest and rejuvenation - nature's de-stressor at its finest. The well-considered layout allowed us to really make full use of the facilities without having to contend with the elements. The hosts' attention to detail was on point, and we would be happy to return to enjoy the scenic and restful nature of the lodge.

Beste romantiese wegbreek ooit. Wat 'n ongelooflike plek. Mooi cottage diep in die berge. Besonder goed toegerus, selfs speserye. Meer as genoeg hout vir kaggel en braai. Sal beslis gou weer gaan. Nog mooier as fotos.

Honey for the soul! Perfect in every way! Cosy, comfortable, well-equipped cottage with unforgettable views. Friendly sheep grazing just metres away, next to the most idyllic dam! It's a place that will reset your heart, mind and body!

Goed vir die siel! Pragtige verblyf en baie gerieflik. Dis die perfekte plek om te kom uitrus. Daar is baie areas om te verken en selfs wanneer dit koud is, bied die area om die huis genoeg speel- en verkenningsplekke om kinders besig te hou. Die kaggel en warmwatersakke sorg vir 'n heerlike nagrus. Jammer ons kon net vir 2 dae bly.

Memorable and relaxing. We had a memorable time up in the Winterberge at Austrey Lodge. The hosts are super friendly, kind and helpful. An amazing spot with fishing and swimming in the dams, hot tub and a warm cosy fireplace with unlimited wood. Thanks guys we had a great stay.

Special stay in a beautiful spot. Beautiful cosy lodge with the most amazing scenery, both at the lodge and on the drive there. A very special part of South Africa. The lodge is really well equipped with lots of extras and Kevin was a great host. Our son loved the fishing and our dogs loved the space and the large visiting bull! The hot tub is an absolute treat, even in misty weather.

Tranquil farm, absolutely breathtaking. We had an amazing time. The lodge overlooks a tranquil dam, nestled in the Winterberg Mountains. We were lucky to have horses around the lodge while we spent time in the 'damcuzzi', braaied, or just lazed around. Lovely rustic lodge with modern finishes. Will definitely visit again.
