Braeside Safaris Lodge

Description

Braeside Safaris Lodge is a farmhouse situated right on the edge of the Tarkastad River, surrounded by luscious lucerne lands. The farm is at the foot of the Winterberg mountain range and is a sheep and cattle farm. It also has various buck species in the scenic Winterberg Nature Conservancy.

This property can comfortably accommodate a total of 10 guests at a time and comprises 5 bedrooms and 5 en-suite bathrooms. There are 2 bedrooms that each have a king-size bed, another 2 with queen-size beds and the remaining bedroom contains 2 single beds. Two of the bathrooms have a bath and a shower, while the other bathrooms are all fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet.

The spacious living area features a kitchen fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. The lounge area is cosy with comfy seating, a fireplace and a TV with DStv. This area also has a dining space where guests can enjoy their meals together. Access to free Wi-Fi is available.

Outside is a lovely patio with a lounging corner, an outdoor dining table and a splash pool for guests to cool off on those hot summer days. Additionally, there is a wooden deck over the water with seating and a built-in braai.

Braeside Farm has numerous farm tracks that are ideally suited for both serious and leisure cycling, while trophy fishing is enjoyed on the Quagga Kirk Farm. There is also access to 3 other dams for rainbow trout. Alternatively, there are various mountainous hiking trails for varying levels of fitness as well as safe walking trails. Enjoy the magnificent mountainous countryside while walking through the indigenous vegetation.
