Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate the feedback and endeavour to improve.
As you mentioned, I had just had a baby. At the time of your stay, my baby was 5 days old, so I was not around. However, my mother-in-law (who previously ran the accommodation on the farm) was assisting. I provided my contact details though so that you could reach me at any point.
As a self-catering farm cottage, we do not have a “front desk” as one would find in a guesthouse, but we are available to assist wherever needed. We try to give guests space to relax, but contact details are provided should guests need anything or have any problems or concerns.
Activities off site are expected to be arranged by guests themselves, but we did provide you with contact details for a local guide as well as locations and contacts of fishing spots in the area so that one can choose based on personal preference.
Our hiking trails are maintained and marked, as well as providing a map, but we try to balance the adventure of exploring the forest with maintaining the pathways without interfering with the natural look and feel. We discovered the forest walk sign had fallen down, and this was repaired. We have since printed new signs to make sure the route is more clear.
We discovered that there was a problem with the door lock after you had left, and this was repaired the same day. We have a 24-hour security patrol in the area. I am sorry you did not find the kitchen big enough, but I am glad you enjoyed the picnic meal offerings provided. If you visit this area again, we would like to offer you a complimentary night stay to make up for these problems you experienced.
