We will be back. We enjoyed our stay at Brenton Beach Crest. The bed and pillows were comfortable, we could hear the sea and the white noise only promoted a better night's sleep. We braaied most nights and sat in total darkness under the veranda on the porch. One evening we had a display of fireflies all around us. No noise from neighbours or city sounds, just the waves. We took our air fryer and coffee percolator with us, did not even use the gas stove or microwave. If it got windy on the stoep, we pushed the two twin beds together in the lounge room and spent the evenings reading. We were on holiday, so we took a break from TV, YouTube, Netflix and social media. Brenton Beach Crest provided that kind of rest; our bungalow/cottage was surrounded by plant growth and trees with a view of the ocean. Bring binoculars to spot boats and ships on the horizon. Walks on the beach, or we sat at Guido's and the mouth of the Kowie River, enjoying a hake and calamari while watching the sea. And for pudding, we stopped at Handmade Coffee and Bakery for a baked cheesecake and cappuccino. Best cheesecake ever tasted. We went to East Beach for our swim; the water current is safer there, and Bliz Beach Cafe is a kiosk selling barista-quality coffee, cool drinks, ice cream and something to eat. Port Alfred's infrastructure really impressed me, and the town is clean and neat.

Absoluut wonderlik. Uitstekende plek om te rus en die natuur te geniet. Vriendelike gasheer en gasvrou. Flinke skoonmaakdiens.

Ons kom weer! Lekkerste vakansie ooit! Mooiste uitsig, pragtige strand, oulike goedtoegeruste huisie. Baie veilige area, loopafstand van die see, skoon en voldoende gemeubileerd met alles wat jy nodig het! Lekkerste slaap met die see se gedruis!

Ideal place to unwind and be close to the ocean. We loved the beach and the fact that the cottage was within walking distance of the beach. Unfortunately, we had to cut our holiday short due to my son developing a severe allergic reaction to the environment, possibly due to pollen and dust. My daughter also got sick with a fever the next day.

Pragtige boomryke omgewing op die strand. Met ons aankoms is ons vriendelik ontvang deur die gasvrou. Die cottage is perfek ingerig met alles wat nodig is. Beddegoed was skoon en beddens baie gemaklik. Pragtige omgewing en naby aan die strand. Ons sal beslis weer daar gaan kuier en dit reeds aanbeveel vir ons familie en vriende. Dankie vir 'n baie lekker vakansie.

Authentic Eastern Cape hideaway. Undiscovered, underrated gem.

Ons kom beslis weer kuier. Ons het vreeslik lekker gebly, alles wat ons nodig gehad het, was in die huisie. En dis letterlik net oor die duin, op die strand.

Outydse seevakansie. Vriendelik ontvang, eenheid basiese benodighede binne. Heerlik geslaap met gedruis van see. Binne loopafstand van strand. Sal hul aanbeveel.

Ons het baie lekker gekuier. Dit was onvergeetlik. Naby die strand. Goeie diens en veilig.

Comfortable and relaxing. Our stay was very pleasant. We felt safe, and the host was very kind and friendly. Neat and tidy cottage.
