Peaceful and relaxing.

We had such a relaxing stay, the area was quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle of town. The scenery is so beautiful, from the waterfall to the giraffes, ostriches, and many other animals. I will definitely recommend Caracal Lodge to anyone wanting an escape from the town's noises and just to relax and be at peace.

We will definitely visit again. The best place to unwind and relax. Loved the outside shower, the enclosed braai Lapa. The privacy and everything was just perfect. We loved watching all the animals Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Ostrich and more. Lovely picnic spot at the Waterfall,.

Lovely private bush lodge to give you that secluded feeling, with lots of game to view close up, however with good service at hand if needed. We had a great 4 night stay to explore the nearby forests by mountain bike.

Afsondering en stilte om te kan ontspan en herlaai was 'n voorvereiste - en daaraan het Caracal Lodge beslis voldoen!

As jy 'n "in-die-bos"-ervaring soek, is Caracal Lodge net die plek vir jou! Figtree Lodge is 'n afgesonderde boshut waar jy die stilte kan waardeer, en 'kamp' sonder elektrisiteit en tegnologiese steurnisse. Soggens kan jy op jou stoepie jou vergaap aan die voëls. Al is daar nie baie wild te sien nie, het die rooibokramme wel gesorg vir die nodige bosgeluide! Stap gerus op na die waterval, dis pragtig! Die gas-warmwaterstelsel was wel 'n uitdaging en daar is geen plek om klere uit te pak nie, maar die kuiers saans voor die kaggel of buite in die maanlig het vir seker daarvoor vergoed!

"Cabin in the woods"

Akkommodasie baie privaat, jy kan "Netflix and chill" ... in die bos! Mooi plaas met staproetes en watervalle. Regte "cabin in the woods" tipe plek.

Rustige voëltjieryke plaas-atmosfeer met klomp vriendelike mense en diere.

Jerry, die kameelperd, verskaf baie pret en snaakse oomblikke. Die verblyf is uitstekend met alles wat jy nodig het, en selfs meer, om jou verblyf te geniet. Personeel is vriendelik. Verblyf is skoon en netjies en mens slaap lekker in 'n mooi atmosfeer. Die voëllewe is baie en 'n moet vir die voëlkyk-entoesias.

Great accomodation in a beautiful country setting.

Comfortable and clean accomodation, with everything neccessary for a self-catering getaway. Great braai area set within an old sheep kraal. Great hospitality, arrived in the early evening, with a welcoming camp fire already lit. The outdoor shower was great, however requires double sided screening for added privacy. The short hikes around the farm and the animal interaction, with both farm, wild and domestic was enjoyed by all, Lulu the Jack Russell slept over in our unit, it felt like home away from home. The farm offers a good location to explore the surrounding country Sudwala Caves, Chimp Eden, Kaapsehoop, etc. Thanks to Donald & Staff

Peaceful, pretty, relaxing and private...

My husband and I spent ages searching the internet for a place to escape to for the weekend and, after some frustration, we came across Caracal Lodge. We are so grateful now for all those 'Sorry, we are fully booked for those dates' messages we received from other places we had tried. We absolutely loved our stay at Caracal Lodge and we will definitely be back! Highly recommended. Thanks Donald and Co.
