Peaceful, enjoyable. It was pleasant, full of character, very nicely appointed (Manor House) with outside hotel rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dinner and breakfast were delicious!

Pleasantly surprised. We were a large group that slept together. Check in was so easy and convenient. Rooms are spacious and extremely neat. The coffee machine in each room is a bonus that we enjoyed. The place is walking distance from Loftus. Security was very friendly with us when we walked in there late at night.

Bad unprofessional service. Checking in at reception went well. We then decided to have a drink on the veranda as it was raining, and we would have been very wet by the time we had arrived at our suite. The drinks order was placed, and it took about 10 minutes before it arrived, and we were the only people there at that time. The drinks arrived, and the order had been totally messed up. Checked out Bethel on Loftus and that was close enough. The room was dirty. Anthills on the floor. Really. The room was definitely not cleaned ahead of time. No teaspoons to stir your coffee. Really not what one would expect.

Had a great stay but expected more. Beautiful buildings that are close to our hearts. One of the residential houses was the commune where my husband lived as a Tukkie student. So we were a bit disappointed in terms of a few basics considering the cost for a room. The porch was dusty and full of leaves, toilet leaked, the system that regulates water between the bath faucet and shower head was faulty, so water runs out of both when the faucet is open, no hair dryer, channel with rugby was not available on tv the bar etc. I specifically asked if we should make reservations for dinner.
