We would like to thank Mr Peters for taking the time to share his experience at Crow's Rest. We sincerely appreciate guests’ feedback and would like to extend our apologies for any inconvenience Mr Peters encountered during his stay.
We understand that finding his way here proved to be a bit challenging, and we're sorry to hear about the road confusion. His comments about the signage are valuable, and we will certainly review and improve our signage to ensure a smoother arrival for our guests. We want to clarify that clear directions, instructing guests to follow the paved road and the signs to the Main Residence, are sent to all our guests. Unfortunately, not following these directions led Mr Peters to a challenging 4x4 track to Crow’s Nest, not 'Rest', which is situated high up on the Magaliesberg.
We hear him about the missing toiletries. We'll make sure future guests have what they need. Thanks for letting us know!
Crow's Rest is advertised as a self-catering spot. While not mandatory, we do offer free tea and coffee in the communal kitchen. After looking into the complaint, we discovered the coffee jar in another guest's room.
Regarding the cleanliness of the shower, we sincerely apologise for any disappointment caused. Unfortunately, as Mr Peters had to proceed straight to his function, we were unable to personally book him in and thus explain the unique challenges posed by our borehole water. It contains a high lime content, resulting in stained glass doors that may appear dirty. I often banter with guests, that if they can provide a successful recipe to remove these lime stains, I would happily refund their booking! We recognise the importance of effectively communicating this aspect to our guests and will make dedicated efforts to do so in the future.
We truly value Mr Peters’ feedback, and to make amends for any inconvenience, we would like to offer him a 20% discount on a future stay at Crow’s Rest. We hope for the opportunity to provide Mr Peters with a better experience next time.
