CYARA: A 3 bedroom, 4 people, self-catering holiday home on Clarence Drive, Whale Coast Route in the buffer zone of the Kogelberg Wilderness Biosphere - "officially the most beautiful drive in the world". Guests may relax in this Fynbos kingdom with 180° seaboard and 180° mountain mass views, with most essential comforts and amenities at hand.

The hosts, Guy and Alta Roberts, occupy a granny flat on the premise. We guard our guests' privacy as enthusiastically as we do our own. We are happy to assist if called upon.

The lower floor, accessible for handicapped guests, has 1 single bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and a separate toilet. On the first floor, the main bedroom has a queen sized bed and a second single bedroom and bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Both first floor rooms open on to the enclosed balcony with views of the ocean across the road. We provide bedding for 4 people. Towels are provided for guests staying 5 nights or longer but not for beach purposes.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a 4-burner gas hob [+ kettle], microwave, fridge/freezer/ice maker, iron/ironing board, electric kettle, 4 slice toaster, mixer, an assortment of cutlery/crockery for 4 guests. The living area has an 8-seater dining table, plenty of seating/bunking for guests to unwind or gather around the large built-in braai. Because of the danger of veld fires, outdoor braaiing is discouraged but an outdoor braai and large Weber braai and a variety of braai tools are available. DStv reception with OVHD installed. Guests are advised to bring their HD or Explora decoder and smart card for viewing of choice. Uncapped complimentary 1 meg Wi-Fi available.

Guests staying 5 nights or longer may entertain up to 4 day-only visitors once off with prior consent by the owners. Guests staying less than 5 nights may not entertain visitors. Visitors found sleeping over without consent will be charged extra per person per night.

Shaded under-cover parking for one vehicle is provided.

Located on the seaboard, Cyara looks down on pristine De Wets Bay and the whole coastal expanse from Stony Point in the West to Hermanus and Gansbaai in the East. Less than an hour's drive brings you to Cape Town and its beautiful surrounds or the Cape and Boland Winelands, the Overberg and the inexhaustible tourist attractions of the Western Cape. Beautiful Main and Silver Sands Beach Betty's Bay and Kleinmond's Sandown Bay Blue Flag beach, are a mere 8-minute drive either way.
