Ons kom definitief weer terug. Dit was baie spesiaal gewees. Dit was ongelooflik lekker gewees. Die voëls, natuurskoon en vars plaasmelk maak dit 'n 'moet' om te kom kuier. Die huis is lekker warm en daar is baie spasie vir groter groepe of families.

A pot of gold at the end of a dirt road. We stayed the weekend for a wedding in town, and although having a normal car was not ideal for the dirt road since we needed to be up and down a lot, that came with its own unforgettable moments. Even in the short time we had to experience the farm, it was still a blessing to have experienced it. It is a gem of a location. The house makes one feel right at home, very spacious. Pics don't do it justice. Best night's sleep. Anene are the most dear hosts. But the cherry on the cake was the church service I attended in the barn. It's a memory I will cherish forever! I really wish we were able to spend more of the time we booked on the farm itself because there is so much more we could have done. I hope I am able to make it back one day.

Great value farmstay in the foothills of the Langeberge. Charming and very well-equipped old farmhouse with green-tinged views. A working sheep and dairy farm with plenty of walks and welcoming hosts.

Very enjoyable. We only stayed over one night on route, but would have loved to spend a few days there. Remote, working farm, kids loved it. Big house and well equipped, clean and comfortable.

Wonderfully relaxing. The location was both a major issue and at the same time a big asset of the place. Doornkraal Heaven is tucked within a working farm in the middle of the hills. Anene is a very good host. Although there were a few times she was not able to attend to my small queries, she is a very good host. The house and the area are very good. Guests, especially those coming from the city or anyone not familiar with farm settings and location, must be given prior notice that to get to the place, a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. Sedan cars can be used, but due to the terrain, they should expect an off-road drive for around 20 to 30 minutes from the main road. Although, as we drove on several times, it became easier and easier as you get to know the road and what to avoid on the road. Apart from this, all is well. We greatly appreciate the fresh milk that we were graciously given and the firewood that they provide. We all enjoyed and appreciated the night sky. Far from light pollution in the city, the night sky was spectacular and breathtaking. The house is well-equipped and spacious. We will definitely be back and will bring the entire family with us. The house is big enough to share with a big family.

Stay was fine but getting to the place was bad. I had no idea. The access road was so bad and there was no connectivity. The place itself was good but I won't go again.

Beste plaas kuier nog! Anene en Paul was voorwaar die beste. Alles was silwerskoon, netjies en presies wat ons nodig gehad het. As jy rus vir jou siel wil hê, plaas atmosfeer en geluide wil hoor en beleef gaan kuier op Doornkraal. Die lekker gesels kom sommer passella en spontaan. Ons kom weer kuier.

Rustig in 'n pragtige omgewing. Die huis was ruim, gerieflik en skoon. Die plaasgeluide was welkom, koeie, papegaaie, honde en trekkers het 'n wonderlike atmosfeer geskep.
