Good morning Bernard,
Thank you for taking the time to post this review, we are glad that you love Ezemvelo. We are disappointed to read some of your comments. What is even more disappointing is that while you were onsite, you didn't mention any of this to us. Most of the time, Kyle and I are on site and during your stay, we were here. Had any complaint been raised with the team in reception or had you asked to speak to us, we would have been there to assist you.
We have a lot of guests who come through, who can see the good we have done over the last year and a half and it is really a pity that you did not come and speak to us directly.
Regarding the Mountain Huts, we can't close that area as the rock pools are down there. We have already spoken to the builders to tidy up their things and keep it tidy for the sake of our guests and the environment.
The river camp is currently closed as we need to do renovations because it has deteriorated. It is a pity you didn't chat to us directly about this as we would have loved to share our plans with you.
We are part of a non-profit organisation and we rely heavily on donations. Due to our remote location, construction is taking longer than it would in the city. We will have a chat with the staff in question whom I believe you reprimanded for making too much noise. These are new staff members who still learning the ropes and had something been said directly to us, we would have acted swiftly to ensure things were put right.
We apologise that you didn't enjoy your stay with us as much as before, but we could have changed that very quickly had any of the above been raised with the team while you were here. We hope that we will be able to welcome you back in the future to once again enjoy our beautiful Nature Reserve.
Warm regards,
Charlie (GM)
