Firefly Rondavel @ Frog Mountain Getaway is one of six cottages located on a spectacular farm 18 km from Swellendam. Tucked away in a secluded green valley at the end of a farm road, you will feel like you have entered another world and are a million miles away from everything. The setting is truly breathtaking right up against the vibrant mountains.

This beautiful thatched unit can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 children as it comprises 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The second bedroom is an upstairs loft accessed via a steep ladder with a safety gate. The loft contains a double bed and a single bed which are both only suitable for children.

The open-plan living area features a kitchen fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from this kitchen is a cosy lounge space with comfy seating and a fireplace which is a great spot for guests to relax with a book.

Outside is a private patio with seating and an outdoor dining table. This patio leads onto a spacious lawn with a built-in firepit as well as a wood-burning hot tub which is the perfect spot for guests to unwind and enjoy a sundowner while the fire is burning.

This family farm is the ideal nature lover’s paradise with raw beauty at your fingertips. Some of the highlights of your stay will include swimming in rock pools, visiting waterfalls, hiking, and paddling on the beautiful Buffeljags River that meanders through the farm.

Frog Mountain is the perfect place for a weekend away with family or friends where you can completely unwind and relax. The farm is quiet and peaceful, where you wake up to the sound of the birds and can soak in the green nature and be blown away by the dazzling Milky Way. You may be lucky to spot a bushbuck, otter, rooikat and a myriad of bird species. Children may love to meet the resident farm animals, dogs, cats, donkeys, horses and cattle.
