Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R500 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Check-in is from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Guests need to inform the hosts of their estimated time of arrival.
Check-out is between 7 am - 10:00 am.

Refundable Damage/Breakage Deposit: A deposit of R500-00 is required.
The deposit is payable no later than 3 days before arrival. This should be done by bank transfer (EFT) and will be reimbursed within 48 hours of check-out, less damages or breakages, if any. The deposit will be refunded in full by bank transfer, subject to an inspection of the property.

No smoking is allowed in the cottage or on the patio. Cigarette buds are to be discarded in the ashtray and dustbins, not in the garden, pool, or grassed areas. Bottles and other rubbish must be thrown in dustbins.

Daily cleaning services are not included in the rates and must be arranged prior to arrival at an additional fee per day.

No towels are supplied. Guests must bring their own bath & swimming towels.

No parties allowed whatsoever with non-paying guests or staying over.
Music must be off by 23:00

No outside visitors are allowed as Footloose River Cottage is situated on private property, thus only paying guests are allowed.

No visitors late at night or extra guests staying over.
Not adhering to this rule will result in guests being asked to vacate the property with immediate effect.

Park only in designated areas. No parking on grass at the river or leaving boat trailers on the slipway. Park only in designated areas for boats, trailers, and cars. Leaving boats/jetskis moored overnight at the jetty is at the owners’ risk.

No drinking, glasses, or bottles are allowed in the swimming pool.

All fires at the braai/fire pit must be extinguished before retiring. No fires are allowed on grassed areas anywhere on the property.

Please avoid any oils, hair coloring, blood, and any other source of damage to the bed linen and blankets. Do not sleep or lie on beds when using suntan lotions and oils. Damages will be charged.
