Comfortable accommodation and attentive host. We were a family of 5 adults. The cabin is spacious and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our hosts took time to give us a tour of the area and shared intersting facts. It's a perfect destination if you enjoy beach walks, hiking, fishing and offroading.

Paradise. Absolutely wonderful, everyone was so friendly and a short walk across the street to the most amazing beach. The gardens are beautiful and so lush. We had a few issues getting there because of traffic and the rain, but the host was so understanding and accommodating. Thank you!

Affordable. Basic affordable stay.

The campsite was very basic - camping in someone's garden. The toilet and shower were clean, but precarious plumbing and electrics. Sadly the beach, although across the road was filthy, but not the fault of the owner, Louie, who was friendly and helpful. I would not recommend a trip to Port St Johns.

Very friendly host, lovely and safe spot. Gecko's place had quick responses and a great camping site with green grass and lots of shade.

Relaxing atmosphere. Value for Money. Ghekos Place is situated on the Wild Coast near Port St Johns. The cabin had all the necessary items needed for a stay, however, be prepared or its a long drive (~20 minutes plus) to the nearest shop, but guess that's the uniqueness of the place. You can sit back and unwind after a day's work or if on holiday even better all day. The beach is a short walk away. I hope to be back again.

Pragtige ligging, vriendelike mense, 'n klipgooi van die strand af. Net vir ervare en geharde kampeerders!

Onvergeetlike avontuur. Geckos Place het diep in ons harte gekruip. Ons was ‘n familie van 14 mense wat vir 2 weke gekamp het. Ons vat baie mooi herinneringe saam. Die see se gedruis in ons ore was fantasties. Die strand is letterlik oorkant die pad. Daar was altyd warm water in die storte, maar die hele groep voel die badkamers het dringende opgradering nodig. Die toilette het dikwels nie gewerk nie. Joseph het wel elke keer die probleem kom oplos. Die storte en toilette was nie altyd skoon nie en die dak lek as dit reën wat maak dat daar geen spasie is vir handdoeke en klere nie. Joseph was ‘n staatmaker in meer as een opsig, altyd gereed om te help. Die kampplek is omhein. Ons het nooit onveilig gevoel nie. Patches, oom Louis se hond, het ons bederf met gereelde kampbesoeke. Sy is ‘n pragtige dier en kruip maklik in jou hart in. Die plaaslike mense van Port St. Johns is vriendelik, behulpsaam en goedgesind. Daar is soveel mooi goed om te sien. Geckos Place het groot potensiaal. Oom Louis, ons het baie lekker gebly, dink net dis dalk tyd vir ‘n badkamer upgrade.

Wonderlik, ideaal vir kinders! Dit het ons verwagtinge oortree, als was perfek. Sal vir seker weer daar bly.
