A relaxing and scenic getaway. We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Goosebay Canyon. The location is beautiful, set along the shores of the Vaal River. The kids enjoyed the pool and we relaxed on deck chairs which overlook the river. The braai and lapa area was comfortably located right by the pool and the hosts made sure we were looked after! This venue is highly recommended and we will definitely be back again!

Not good for a family with children. * The only entertainment we found was fishing and a pool table. Boating was a big disturbance to fishing. The pool table was not accessible because the area was closing after breakfast. We were in the dark during load-shedding. A family with loud music, dancing, and noise - no one from the administration controlled them, and we did not appreciate it. We suffered without a kitchen facility to make our lunch and supper. Not suitable or recommended to stay for more than a day due to a lack of self-catering or a full-time kitchen.

Heerlik ontspan met goeie geriewe. Pragtige plek. Ons moes baie vroeg in die oggend uitgaan en het elke dag 'n ontbytpak gekry om saam te vat. Baie dankie.

We had the rest we were looking for. Beautiful view. Perfect for relaxing. Not suitable for fishing. Staff very friendly. Not much privacy, but after all, a very pleasant stay. Didn't know about WiFi. Very poor braai facilities.

Not good at all. It was not as I would have liked. There was nothing to do, more for buses perpetually, not for a weekend getaway. I won't be using Lakkeslaap again.

Absolutely beautiful. What an amazing host Gail was, it was paradise on the Vaal.

Peaceful and relaxing. Room was a bit old fashioned. Would have liked to have a tv in the room. Pool wad green due to loadshedding. Toilet light did not work. The place is great if you just want to laze around and do nothing else. It's a great place if you like fishing. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Beautiful views of the river. There was not much else to do.

Ons was gemaklik en het baie tuis gevoel. Pragtige uitsig van al die kamers. Kamers is ruim en gemaklik.
