A home away from home. This is a wonderful house with a unique Afrikaans atmosphere. The house has large, airy bedrooms and living rooms. We and our kids loved this house. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much.

Little piece of heaven. Die Melkstal was absolutely perfect! It was everything we wanted and needed in a place. Ideally situated just outside town, it was lovely and quiet and very peaceful; away from the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to be near everything. The views are positively breathtaking and just mesmerising. Waking up and seeing the sun rise over the fields full of sheep and lambs, and the glorious mountains in the background is enough to soothe any weary soul. The house itself is perfect. It has everything you need for a home away from home. The rooms are spacious with very comfy beds and warm bedding whilst the kitchen is well equipped with all the basics you will need. It was surprisingly very warm and snug on those super chilly nights, and wonderfully cool and refreshing on those blistering hot days! At night, it is so wonderfully dark you can do incredible star gazing. It really is an idyllic spot and I cannot recommend it enough. We will definitely be back next time we are heading to Oudtshoorn. You cannot go wrong staying here! The host is so lovely, friendly, understanding and accommodating!

Dis 'n lekker plaashuis om in te bly. Die verblyf was lekker en die ou huis is groot en netjies. Lekker kuiers rondom die vuur buite.

Veilig stil. Baie lekker gebly. Daar kort paar kombuisware soos 'n broodmes en steakmes, maar behalwe dit is dit 100%.

We stopped for two nights en route back to Cape Town. Enjoyed a lovely walk on the farm and activities in Oudtshoorn. Anita, our host, was a lovely and great communicator. The place was clean and had everything we needed for some relaxing downtime.

Lovely comfortable and spacious place to stay. Chrismari was great meeting us and filling us in about the area. Beautiful home. Great decor and extremely comfortable. We had a lovely stay in Oudtshoorn with lots to do. Beautiful views and best braai area.

Lovely tranquil location, fairly private. The hosts kept in touch with us sharing load shedding times, routes etc. A working Ostrich farm. I loved the male Ostrich who kept us entertained. The rooms were nice and clean.
