Most relaxing setting. The cottage was well set up, with everything that u needed. Spectacular views, and beautiful animals. The host was also amazing, gave us lots of privacy. Most ideal, we loved every minute of it. Even our Dog had run out of place. A must-see.

Highover Farm is incredibly beautiful and peaceful - a magical night's stopover in autumn with kind hosts. This is for you if you enjoy the eccentric, rustic feeling of a real horse farm.

Lovely stay, the only issue was the accommodation didn't inform the owners that we booked the weekend. It could have been easily double booked.

Rustig.

Dit is 14 km se grondpad. Die huis is mooi en netjies. Die kombuis is goed toegerus met potte, panne en 'n mikrogolf, maar dit kort 'n skoonmaak. Elektriese komberse sou aangenaam wees.

Pragtig geleë plaaskothuis.

Die perfekte ligging met alles wat ons nodig gehad het vir die een aand wat ons oorgeslaap het. Baie dankie vir julle gasvryheid en dat julle die plaas en kothuis met ons gedeel het! Lieflike herinneringe!

Peaceful getaway.

Hosts were so helpful. We arrived in Mooi River in heavy downpours and we were met in town to tow our trailer onto the farm for us in the mud and stormy weather. Due to the unprecedented rains the roads were slippery and we damaged a tyre and Michael, Jacqui and Max quickly towed us out, changed our tyre and settled us into our accommodation. Beautifully appointed and lovely views. The family getaway cottage was a great place to spend time. We canoed on the dam and enjoyed the beautiful albeit muddy walks. Our dogs were made welcome and they had an absolute blast. Mike had our tyre repaired in town for us. They went out of their way to help us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very relaxed. Good walking to be had as well as beautiful horses to interact with. Hosts were great and relaxed. Thank you for allowing us to have so much freedom on your farm.

Rustig, rustig en 'n pragtige omgewing.

Heerlike ontspannende kuier. Rustig. Pragtige omgewing. Wonderlike gasvryheid. Ons het selfs varsgebakte scones, met heerlike konfyt en geklopte room die Sondagmiddag van ons gashere ontvang (dit was mistig en net die perfekte manier om kuier af te sluit). Ons gasheer het selfs aangebied dat ons die Springbokke-game by hulle aan die huis kon kom kyk. As jy wil wegkom van alles en almal, is hierdie verseker die plek om te kuier.

Gelukkig net een nag bespreek.

Ongerieflik. Badkamer buite die kamer. Bed staan kop ondertoe. Kombuis is vuil met geen eetborde nie. Kombuisdeur moet met groot moeite oopgemaak word.

Advertensie was onakkuraat en pad was 'n nagmerrie. My kuier was kortgeknip.

Nee, glad nie. Die pad na die verblyf was langer as wat daar gesê is, en dit was nie geskik vir my voertuig nie.

Lovely setting for a family Christmas.

Rustic, quirky decor. Warm welcome from owner. We stayed at The Fisherman's Cottage. Inclement weather required my nephew (to his delight) to fetch us for celebrations at the big house in his dad's bakkie. Best if one has a 4-by-4. Just an observation: The door to the bathroom was sticky and did not close totally for privacy. Easily fixed. Signage to each cottage could be clearer.

Rustige plaaslewe.

Ons het lekker gebly, skoon en netjiese eenheid. Daar was hout vir die kaggel wat handig was aangesien dit koud en nat was. Privaat erfie vir ons honde wat saam gereis het. Gasvrou het ons ingelig dat paaie swak is weens baie reën. Geen selfoonopvangs. Eenheid is goed ingerig maar dalk net 'n voorstel om van die snuisterye te verwyder in die eenheid. Daar is bv. 'n kassie in die badkamer om toiletsakkie neer te sit maar dis toegepak met allerhande versierings. Daar is 'n tafel by voordeur en sitkamer maar dis ook toegepak. Die gasvrou doen baie moeite om plek mooi te maak, ons het waardering daarvoor maar dalk net met bietjie minder goed wat nie nuttig is nie. Verder was verblyf goed.

Die perfekte plek om af te skakel, te vergeet van die wêreld en te wees.

Highover Farm is net ver genoeg van die beskawing om ver weg te voel van als wat pla, die uitsigte is fantasties, die stilte vreedsaam en ons hond het die plaas meer geniet as wat ons het en dit sê baie.

Rustig met mooi natuurskoon op 'n werkende plaas.

Die fasiliteite is basies, informeel en heel gerieflik met al die nodige.
