Easter weekend away. I can't get over this peaceful and beautiful house. All the rooms are spacious, have a unique touch and furniture. I love everything about this place, the crockery is up to standard. The pictures on the internet didn't do any justice to this place. This is a gem hidden in Malmesbury. I'm definitely coming back.

Most unsatisfactory We don't appreciate sharing our space with a cockroach infestation (that is if 70-80 roaches crawling on the kitchen counters is considered an infestation). So our stay was most unsatisfactory. I have videos as proof in case you have the stomach and want to see the footage. No hot water or dishwasher in the kitchen or scullery. The coffee machine had cockroaches crawling over it including inside the coffee bean compartment. Communicating this to the host her reply was: "The place was spring cleaned and you are getting a good deal considering that you are paying camping rates." (I still have our WhatsApp messages). The kitchen is grimy and grubby, to put it mildly. We would have checked out immediately after discovering the cockroaches and the grime, but because it is wedding season we could not find an alternative place to accommodate 10 family members at such short notice. It is imperative that this property should not be rented out again until a pest control company has dealt with the cockroaches, professionals have dealt with the dirty, stinky, blocked open kitchen drain (no cover) in the back yard and a professional cleaning company has given the entire house, but especially the kitchen and scullery a deep clean from top to bottom. Handy Andy is unfortunately not going to do the job, they will have to bring their big gun cleaning products to get it up to scratch. Once that is dealt with and the hot water installed, a new kettle would be a good idea too.
