A nice and relaxing breakaway from the norm. We enjoyed our stay very much, the beds were comfortable and the place looked clean. We did have a problem with the en suite bathroom where the basin became more and more blocked and it was so dirty when we did try to unblock it, indicating it hadn't been cleaned properly in a long while. Having been in the short-term rental industry (Airbnb) and considering the overall cost of this place though, I expected there would at least be towels and soap/shower gel etc. and some facilities/features for kids (like board games or something as this was marketed as a family-type accommodation). I also think that you need to inform families with small kids that the house is right against a rather busy road and people were driving rather recklessly, so I felt it was unsafe for my kids to be outside. Please also consider getting a covered parking area for one's vehicle. The guest bathroom was very nice, the indoor braai was convenient but it's not secured and makes a lot of noise, especially at night. There also isn't much storage space for food in the kitchen. This house is very conveniently located indeed. The WiFi was intermittent and it would have been nice to have WiFi for our devices instead of just the TV. The house is in need of general maintenance (peeling paint, damaged furniture and fridge, and a crack in the sliding door were some of the things we noticed).
