Beautiful location, plenty of space. Beautiful location, very clean with lots of room. Will absolutely be back for another visit! Only downside was there were a lot of flies coming into the house on the last day. I understand there's a chicken farm nearby. Hopefully pest control measures can be implemented

Quiet, relaxing, clean, well maintained. We had a relaxing weekend in a clean and well managed establishment. Wonderful hot showers, bright white linen, what more can you want? Melody is an excellent hostess. The venue is best booked in its entirety. Having said that, we were fortunate to share with a group of respectful youngsters. There are chicken farms and cattle in close proximity and therefore flies can be pesky. Take fly candles to shoo them away. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

Heerlike plek. Ons het heerlik gebly by Jackal Hill. Melody was baie behulpsaam en vriendelik. Heerlik vuur gemaak in die kaggel elke aand. Die lapa is 'n fees en kon die mooi sonsondergang elke middag met 'n koppie koffie geniet vanuit die lapa. Ons het ook bokke gesien wei. Die stoep kry lieflike oggend en middag son en dis heerlik om daar te sit en lees of wild te kyk. Sal weer hierheen kom.

Lovely place and enjoyed our stay! Wonderful place, such beauty! Just the flies that were quite a lot, that needs attention, but would definitely be back! Had so much fun!

Hi Gerda, Thank you for your lovely review - I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! The owners are currently investigating the fly issue. Usually, on the rare occasion when this happens, it is due to an outbreak at nearby chicken farms, over which the lodge has no control. I do apologise for that!

Neat, tidy and a great place to unwind. The weekend away was great. The place is neat and tidy, and my dog just loves it. We were welcomed with a big smile. My only negative comment will be that there was no dish cloth to wipe counter tops, etc. There is no real hiking trail.

Hi Chantelle, Thank you for your lovely review of Jackal Hill! I'm so glad you and the dog enjoyed your stay! In regards to the hiking, we don't advertise hiking on the property, but at Sable Hiking (20kms away). Apologies regarding the dishcloth, I will make a note of this.

Dit was 'n uistekende plek! Dankie aan Daniel vir sy behulpsaamheid en vriendelikheid. Hy het seker gemaak ons was gemaklik. Hy het gereeld navraag gedoen om te sien of ons dalk iets benodig. Hy was ongelooflik. Die chalet was skoon en baie ruim. Daar was alles in die kombuis wat benodig word om etes voor te berei. Daar kan dalk net vlieë-kersies gesit word. Dit was al wat gepla het.

Dit was ‘n week se vakansie weg van die normale werk routine. Jackal Hill het soveel verskillende voel spesies wat dit rustig maak met ‘n paar ander diere.

It was relaxing, away from normal routine. Bird life and some animals were great to see. One geyser for chalet 1 and 2 not enough.
