Perfect location for a large group! We had a great stay at the Kon-Tiki house. The locality, amenities, and size made our stay a very enjoyable one.

See above. We loved both Kon-Tiki and Elands Bay. The tranquillity and raw beauty were very special, and we loved the house and outdoor area. We will come back. My only recommendation would be to add a microwave oven to the kitchen appliances.

Pragtige binne-versiering. Smaakvol en modern. Die kothuis is nie bedoel vir 2 volwassepaartjies nie omdat een badkamer gedeel moet word en dis bietjie ongemaklik om in die middel van die nag die badkamer te moet gebruik terwyl die ander paartjie alreeds slaap.

Pretty venue and well appointed, but some issues. Audrey was amazing, friendly and helpful. However, we had a problem with no power, no backup power except for a few lamps, no cell reception, and after 2 hours, no WiFi. They should really look at getting either an inverter or solar panels. The gas geysers were also a problem as it will be hot for a few seconds and then cold. Most of us had cold showers. Otherwise, the house is beautiful and well appointed.

Dear Yvette, Thank you kindly for supporting Kon Tiki and our staff by staying with us. And thank you for your feedback, we appreciate each guest's suggestions. Apologies for any inconvenience. I have spoken to our manager about what happened during your stay. 1) Mostly, our guests compliment us for the gas water heater and rain shower heads. Apologies that your experience was not the same during your stay. We have immediately attended to the hot water issue and sorted it out, so there is hot water now. We hope that you had a lovely stay otherwise. We would be happy to offer you a complementary night stay when you book your next holiday with us. Please do contact me directly about that and I will organise it. 2) I was told that the whole of Elands Bay didn't have any electricity during your stay and it wasn't our home that had the issues. We aim to have a solar system in place, however it was not financially viable to do so for the size of the property at the moment. That is why we have supplied a Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for internet emergencies of 2 hours, as well as a gas stove, gas water heater, plus portable and rechargeable lights and candles like other holiday homes, but we will look into the inverter. 3) We are happy to share some exciting new additions to our Kon Tiki main house with you. We are using these winter days to build a closed-off balcony entertainment area with a pizza oven, keeping guests comfort and better experiences at our home in mind, especially for family and group holidays. Elandsbaai is net die ding wat mens nodig het om jou siel te herstel. Omdat Elandsbaai nie 'n hoofstroom toeristebestemming is nie, kry mens lekker gerus, dog is dit naby genoeg aan Lambertsbaai, Strandfontein of Veldrif vir 'n dag uitstappie. Ons het ons kuier terdeë geniet, dit was presies wat ons gesoek het vir 'n paar dae om uit te rus. Die akkommodasie was voortreflik netjies.
