Peaceful. We have stayed here 4 times, and have always really enjoyed our stay. The log cabins are perfect for a night or 2 away. Well appointed and equipped.

Comfortable and affordable great service. We had a fantastic relaxing time, staff helpful and cheerful. Chalet neat and comfortable, highly recommended.

Not for us. If you want to know what it feels like to be a paying customer, expecting a carefree breakaway, only to learn that everything is your own responsibility (over and above the normal at any standard self-catering resort), visit Kumbagana. Instead of having a carefree rest, you will be busy looking after their property. So do yourself a favour and request a copy of the terms and conditions as well as the rules before booking. We only received this after booking and having paid 50% of the cost and already being outside of their cancellation and refund policy. We also experienced many of the matters that are mentioned in some (even older) lower rating reviews. On occupation of the unit, we found a dirty toilet and fridge. And do not tell me that it is my responsibility, as a paying guest, to bring this to the attention of the establishment. Rather, this is further indication that Kumbagana does not have the basic courtesy towards, and respect for their guests, to even inspect the unit themselves before booking us in, as to ensure that the unit is at least clean and functional. Kumbagana does have an upside and lots of potential, but it is unfortunately marred by being run in a seemingly uncaring, disrespectful and abdicating kind of way. Kumbagana may work for many other people, but it did not work for us.

Asemrowend mooi. Dis was asemrowend mooi en stil en almal was so vriendelik. Ek sal net waarsku om alles saam te vat wat sou nodig wees, want die winkeltjie en restaurant is nie in werking nie.
