Baie lekker by La Galiniere Guest Cottage. Dit was 'n fantastiese naweek in 'n fantastiese Cottage. Die diens en perseel was uitstekend.

Goeie diens en gaan die ekstra myl. My man en seun het die Race to the Sea gaan doen. Ons het gevra vir 'n warm stort na die tyd, al bly ons nie die Saterdag oor nie. Hulle was meer as bereid om ons te akkommodeer!

Lovely overnight stay. The cottages at La Galiniere are really charming and well-equipped. The location is also good, just a short distance from the centre of Franschhoek, and so close to the wine tram. It also has a lovely pool area with braai facilities. The fact that there are just two cottages also provides a sense of privacy.

Goeie verblyf. Met beurtkrag is dit moeilik. Nie net het ons nie elektrisiteit gehad met beurtkrag nie, maar ook nie water nie. Ons voel so 'n plek behoort voorsiening daarvoor te maak.

Dear Elize, we apologise that your stay did not meet expectations. I'm sure you know that the load shedding situation is impacting a lot of businesses throughout the country, including the accommodation sector. We are looking at options to install solar power on the farm, but this does require substantial investment. As a three star self-catering accommodation, our profit margins are very limited, making it very difficult to put together the necessary funding. We will investigate what happened with the water supply, as this should not have been affected from the load shedding. Kind regards. Alan

Flexible when it comes to checking out but sad about other things. Nice stay but it was unlucky that the pool was not ready to be used. Even though I asked and they wrote to me that it was. The owner was shouting at me and my 5-year-old son for going to the pool without knowing it was not ready.

Dear Emilie, I'm sorry if you were felt that you were shouted at. At the time you arrived, we were undertaking routine servicing of the guest swimming pool - vacuuming sediment from the bottom. We kindly requested that you do not use the pool for a short period of time while the pool was being serviced, and suggested that you use another swimming pool on the farm for a short period of time. Your son, who was playing around the guest pool dropped a toy into the water, and you removed the pipe and pole with the suction head yourself without speaking to us, which then disturbed the sediment. All swimming pools require regular servicing to ensure that they are well-maintained and clean. When guests interfere during pool servicing (intentionally or not), this can result in challenges to keep the pool clean. As a result, of you removing the pipe and suction head, we had to add more chemicals and run the pump for an additional period of time. We had tried to clearly communicate that the pool was being serviced for a short period of time and assumed that you had understood this. I apologize if our communication was unclear. Kind regards,
