Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, comfort. It was simply wonderful! My daughter and I wanted a mother/daughter weekend and the venue was perfect for this. Jeremiah and his team catered to our every need. The food was delicious - our compliments to the chef! We will definitely return and this time we will book some sessions at the spa.

Beautiful, relaxing. Fantastic! The hosts were so attentive with everything! Short drive from JHB and a great spot to decompress. Max the dog was also a great host .

Memorable. What a beautiful and unique place! We had a wonderful stay. It's actually an experience rather than just accommodation! The staff were super friendly and catered to all our needs. The food was amazing, and breakfast down by the river was sublime! Such lovely little touches like fresh flowers on the tables and a rose on the cutlery at breakfast - we absolutely loved it! Thank you for a memorable stay.

Fantastic. Calming. Friendly. Friendly and very helpful. The manager is excellent and was always very inviting and assisting. The staff are all very nice and made our stay so calm and relaxing. I hope that going forward, the owners can make some upgrades on small things, just some TLC. Otherwise, it was lovely.

Terrible stay. The guests that were there vouched never to return. If you gonna book this place, be sure to know that the pics you see on the web vs. what you actually going to see are not the same, it’s a poorly kept establishment with linen and towels that smell mouldy. The rats in the ceiling at night are insane (the owner told me “What do you expect, there are rats in South Africa). The traffic noise outside is terrible. The owner is a defensive lady who seemed to be looking for a fight when I gave her feedback. I paced up and down in the eating hall until other guests left to confront me (which was a good thing for her cause she would have been super embarrassed if she had verbally attacked me in the manner she did, in their presence). The walls are dusty with cobwebs that have been there for. Sometimes, this shows the lack of proper housekeeping. We were booked for 2 nights but left after one night. Couldn’t even risk taking a shower/bath. Good luck to this 48-year-old establishment. There’s. Loads more I could mention but I’ll leave it here. Oh. Two of many more things. The room my wife and I booked (wife’s birthday weekend) was not the room we chose on the website so the host then decided to give us an upgrade as per the owner. This was decided cause I did not want to stay at that establishment. We took a tour of all the rooms and the drunk host told my wife to hurry up and choose because other guests were arriving (1 more couple). 🤣🤣🤣. The food omg. Disgusting. In my opinion, I’ll never recommend this place.

Good day, we always appreciate constructive criticism and strive to give our guests the best we can offer in our rustic and quaint venue that has been built up over 48 years with architectural relics from France to depict an old 14th century village! Yes, there is always room for improvement and we did give this guest an option of upgrading but still unhappy. So sorry we really tried our best! Our food is homecooked French country food on a plat du jour menu -- meal of the day -- discussed in advance with the guests. We have a set menu and do dinner baskets which have always been popular with the guests (home cooked, wholesome & flavourful) cooked by our same chef for the last 10 years. Served in our French street cafe with large fireplaces & French music -- we will strive to keep on doing better. Marguerite & team.

Amazing. Dis regtig 'n juweel, personeel is baie hulpvaardig en vriendelik. Die plek en kos is uitstekend. As jy jou geliefde wil treat, is dit die plek. Neem net kennis daar is nie kaartfasiliteite nie, so vat maar kontant saam.
