A lovely stay in the country, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.

Our visit was most enjoyable, working farm environment out in the country with an attentive and friendly host. Saar's lamb shank dinner is recommended!

Ongelukkig is die woning sub-standaard en kan ons dit nie aanbeveel nie.

Ons gasvrou kry 5 sterre vir hulpvaardigheid en vriendelikheid. Die beddens en linne is ook 5 ster-gehalte. Sy het haar beste gedoen om ons te akkommodeer. Ongelukkig is die res van die woning sub-standaard in vergeleke met ander verblyf waar ons al oorgebly het. Die sitkamerbanke en kombuistoerusting is verouderd en afgeleef, dit benodig aandag/vervanging. Daar is ook geen selfoonopvangs by die eenheid nie. Die toegangspad na die eenheid is baie sleg, nie toegangklik vir gewone voertuig nie, oorgroei en moet oopgeknip word. Akasiabome se dorings skraap jou voertuig en pad is ongeskraap.

Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the services that you appreciated. However, I find a few things surprising with regard to your comments about substandard furniture requiring replacement, etc., and especially location - after all, you had to have seen from the address of the farm, where we were situated, so you had to have known where you were going.

I do disagree with your views regarding the roads (you arrived here in a very small panel van, with 6 adults and loaded with luggage, which could have possibly been the reason that your vehicle was sitting so low on the ground). I also disagree with your views on cleanliness, security, etc. (I am unaware of any security issue that you experienced). Furthermore, the cottage was just renovated prior to your booking (painting, etc). In an attempt, to remain unbiased, please find a review that was left on a different booking platform from people who have stayed at the cottage just prior to you:

"A pleasant experience at Ladismith Country House. The accommodation is on a beautiful farm outside of Ladismith. The roads are in good condition and lower vehicles like cars can easily access the farm. We were 5 people staying in the cottage. The rooms were clean and are well priced. The lady at the property is very friendly and has embraced us with much kindness even though we arrived very late at the property. Would definitely go back! 10/10"

It was absolute lovely!

We had a very pleasant stay at Paddasang. The sound of the frogs singing was tranquil to the soul and what was needed. Definitely a place to go back to over and over again. Thank you Saar! Hope the peach tree is doing well.

A peaceful stay on a working farm.

A warm welcome by Saar, the owner, set the tone for a delightful stay. The tranquil setting on this working farm was very relaxing and peaceful. It is lambing season so we were able to enjoy seeing the newborn lambs and get a lesson on breeding by Saar. If in the area we will definitely return.
