Fantastic, very well priced. Beautiful gardens. The host was very professional and friendly. We as a family came down from JHB for a funeral and were so welcomed. Thank you. The accommodation was 100% and the hospitality just the same.

Sien ons kommentaar bo. Nog voor ons vertrek het vanaf ons huis, het ons 'n paar boodskappe van verwelkoming van Jane ontvang en ons is baie vriendelik ontvang deur haar en haar mede-gasheer met ons aankoms. Ons verblyf was soos 'n huis weg van ons huis. Ons het vir hulle gesê dat dit gevoel het asof ons by vriende kuier en nie in 'n vreemde B&B nie. Hulle is twee baie interessante mense wat albei professionele kunstenaars is, sy 'n sangeres en hy 'n kitaarspeler. Hulle tree saam op by 'n lokale restaurant op Sondae. As jy daar is, vra hom om vir jou sy kitaar versameling in sy 'studio' te wys! Ons sal weer by hulle gaan kuier as ons weer in die omgewing is.

Nice and quiet area, and it was close to where we were attending our son's tournament. The place is good, what I saw in the pictures is exactly what I got. The only thing that was a struggle is the cat's smell as I had sinus problems throughout our stay. But we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Dineo Thank you for your positive review. I am surprised about the cats as they are not allowed in the guest rooms or the dining room. They spend most of the time outside or at night locked in our flat and I have never had anyone complain about them, even those who are phobic as they don't see much of them. I am certainly not aware of any 'smell'. Our area is pretty high in pollen content at this time of the year, especially with our plane trees. Perhaps this is what you were reacting to? I am very sensitive to grasses, change of season etc, and I too suffer from sinus, which is why I always travel with antihistamines as a precaution. Regards Jane

Not that bad. It was good besides the safety concern about the gate. We were holding our breath about intruders and our safety and that of our car.

Hi Tebogo, I am surprised at your security concerns, especially as you have stayed here before and did not voice any concerns then. Your unit is on armed response with a panic button, as well as all the usual security measures on doors and windows. There are security beams in the garden and cameras focused on the gate that you are worried about. The vehicles are all parked in a certain area where we have security measures in place. The gates are closed at night (provided a guest doesn't leave them open), and I am certainly not aware that you had any 'intruder' issues during either of your visits that would make you feel uncomfortable. We have many security features, most of which are hidden as we do not want our guests to feel like they are coming to a crime-ridden area with razor wire, etc. Our security is a lot more subtle but very effective. Very neat and comfortable, beautiful garden. Very peaceful. Exactly what you see in the pictures, but the most peaceful and beautiful garden. Unit was very neat and very friendly reception.

Hi, Sanet Thank you for your positive review. We loved hosting you and your lovely family. I wish to address your comment about paying for the washing of dishes. Our T’s and C’s were sent to you on the 10th of March 2023, wherein it states “Self-catering rates include light daily servicing. Dishes and personal laundry can be arranged with housekeeping at an additional fee.” You were therefore aware that we charge for this service prior to arrival, there is also a notice displayed in the kitchen. In our “self-catering” units, the washing of dishes is considered an “additional service” like transport or personal laundry. This money goes directly to the housekeeper as a “tip” for providing you with this service. We do not consider the recommended amount of R20 a day to be excessive or unreasonable. This is an optional choice for the guest, which can be budgeted for and decided on before arrival. We hope to see you again should you ever be in our area. Regards, Jane
