Stayed over on way to Sabie and Kruger from KZN. Ideal for that. Apple Cottage is a pleasant stopover. Everything you need for an overnight. Would recommend for that but not for a holiday. Close to town square for coffee and restaurants, further from the vlei. No views from accommodation. Fine otherwise. Bring your own firewood from the nearest bigger town if you arrive after 5. The house was a bit cold in midwinter and the gas-heated water wasn't really hot.

Battled to connect to DSTV. No hot water to bathe on a freezing night. Average stay. No welcoming and battled to get someone to assist with TV. No hot water during our stay. Outside table and chairs filthy dirty.
