Description
Louis Trichardt Lodge is located at the foot of the majestic Soutpansberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province. This is South Africa's most northern mountain range and its rugged terrain is filled with a famous tourist attraction, the giant Baobab tree.
The Lodge is conveniently situated on the N1 in Louis Trichardt. Ideal for an excellent overnight stop or a laid-back breakaway. There are 19 spacious self-catering units set in a garden of palm trees which ensures a comfortable and private stay. In addition, there are 5 executive rooms which are not self-catering but is equipped with a coffee station and mini fridge-freezer, for the executive or business traveller.
The lodge also has a conference centre to facilitate up to 100 delegates with related requirements including meals and accommodation. More information will be made available upon specific enquiry.
The Soutpansberg mountain range at Louis Trichardt is 130 km long and is so named because of the large salt pan situated on the western slopes. The highest point, called Lajuma is home to scores of eagles, falcons and other predatory bird species. Another tourist attraction to these mountains is the fact that this is the spot where the largest concentration of leopard can be found in the world. Most of the Soutpansberg region is malaria-free, with the exception of the northeastern areas near the Zimbabwe and Mozambique borders, and the Kruger National Park.
