Maison Jacaranda

Pretty, friendly, exactly what we needed. Highly recommended!

The room and facilities were all that we needed, a lovely room and outlook, a simple self-service breakfast which was perfect for us. Helpful, friendly owner and staff.

Our second stay was great again.

Within 20 days we stayed again at Maison Jacaranda. It has many things in its favour: situated in a nice residential area of Joburg, shops and restaurants within walking distance, great service, a very good solar system with a battery pack so that load shedding has no effect on you, etc.

Great place in a fine neighbourhood.

Very welcoming place. Some breakfast food in the kitchen so you do not need to go out shopping right away. Very clean and they found a way to live with loadshedding.

Bedroom too small for a double. Very cold in winter, may be good for summer.

We received check-in instructions from WhatsApp to access the property. That worked well. Received keys from a lady in the kitchen. Never saw her again. Bedroom was pretty cramped. Bed very soft but comfortable. Visited in winter and the room was very cold! Heaters provided but not good enough. No kitchen area, just a table and butler's tray. Toaster, kettle, small fridge (in the cupboard), and Nespresso machine. No microwave in the room but provided on the patio on the other side of the house. Not convenient. Bathroom beautifully appointed and huge. All the necessary towels, soaps, handwash, shampoo, and shower gel of the best! No underfloor heating - one small two-bar wall heater.

Die ontvangs was warm en verwelkomend. Kamer is stylvol, skoon en netjies. Gastehuis is ingerig met solar so beurtkrag is nie 'n probleem. Sal verseker weer daar tuisgaan.

Very nice, modern and a fantastic bathroom.

Just a bit cramped and difficult to get into the bed on the right side. Other than that a wonderful place and Nespresso coffee machine.

Veilig, netjies en alles wat nodig is vir 'n heerlike verblyf.

Ek sal beslis weer hier tuisgaan indien ek in die omgewing is. Skoon en netjiese plek met al die nodige geriewe. Die personeel is vriendelik en bedagsaam en het ons selfs geakkommodeer vroeëer as wat die normale inboektyd is. Ek sal hierdie plek beslis aanbeveel vir my vriende.

Vriendelike, behulpsame gasvrou, aangename verblyf.

Kamer was skoon, netjies, met alles wat ons benodig het. Rustige, stil buurt.

Was werklik baie aangenaam. Goeie fasiliteite.

Was goed geleë vir ons doel. Parkview is 'n goeie voorstad. Fasiliteite was baie goed en netjies met meer kos en koffie as wat mens sou verwag. Sal dit graag weer gebruik. Baie goeie en vriendelike diens en 2 dierbare honde.

Ons het 'n wonderlike tyd gehad. Karen en haar span het aan alles gedink. Van filterkoffie en beskuit tot vars vrugte. Die sekuriteit is uitstekend en dis amper onmoontlik om onveilig te voel. Die twee honde is baie vriendelik en ons kinders het dit geniet om met hulle te speel.

Very suitable.

The apartment was really lovely. The finishing touches such as fruit, rusks, muesli, yogurt and plunger coffee made us feel welcome. There was Dove soap and lovely hand soap and hand cream in the bath room. The only problem I had was that when the doorbell rings you can hear it in the apartment and the parking may be a tight squeeze if there are more guests. Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay.
