'n Juweel in 'n stil deel van die dorp binne maklik loopafstand van alles.

Ons het heerlik gebly. Die kar slaap in die straat, maar Franschoek is 'n veilige dorpie. Pragtige uitsig van ons kamer met lekker koffie en beskuit bederf. Badkamer is super.

Inklok en uitklok was soomloos. Pragtige uitsig op die berge, gemaklike bed, mooi wit linne, 'n moderne bad en baie lieflike stort. Heerlike koffie en beskuit.

Marcelle is an excellent hostess and the lovely quality coffee with rusks as well as the surprise chocolate at the bed made for a special stay. Beautiful and modern as well as very safe. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

If I could award more stars I would!

What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. A lovely, comfortable, space which is well-situated with a view of the mountains. This unit cannot be beaten for value for money. The rusks and different coffees and tea were much appreciated. We received a warm welcome from Marcelle. Although our car was parked on the street, it wasn't an issue and was quite safe. I would recommend Mountain View Cottage to anyone.

Clean, neat and comfortable.

Our room did indeed have a mountain view, and was more spacious than we expected. The little kitchen area had all one needs to make a warm drink or heat a meal. Everything was clean and well organised. A good stay, thank you.

Accommodation is very modern and comfortable. Unfortunately no backup for loadshedding.

Kan aanbeveel dat die dakvensters dalk op 'n manier toegemaak kan word. Die kamer is al van baie vroeg af lig in die oggend. Verder is alles perfek. Baie goeie waarde vir geld.

Die eenheid is in 'n rustige buurt met pragtige berguitsig. Die kamer en badkamer is baie modern en het alle gemaklikhede wat mens benodig. Dit was lekker warm en snoesig. Daar was ook 'n groot verskeidenheid van koffie en tee vir ons uitgelê om van te kies, asook lekker gesondheidsbeskuit. Ons sal definitief weer terugkom.

Prachtig, ruim, schoon kamer en badkamer. Heerlijk slaapplezier op een goed bed. Welkome verrassings, beschuit en chocola. Vriendelijke gastvrouw.

A comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment centrally located.

The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bed and linen is good quality and the bathroom is beautiful. The view of the mountain from the comfort of the bed is spectacular. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and we would happily visit again.

Very good sized bedroom with good views and a friendly host. We would go back without hesitation.

Liked the little extras like Sally Williams nougat on each bed, flowers in the bathroom and bedroom. Super bathroom. Convenient to town could easily walk. Would suggest hosts consider blinds at the entrance to the cottage as in summer we thought the sun would wake one up earlier than perhaps we would want.

Beautiful, modern, clean and neat!

It was the perfect place for me and hubby to stay over for a night. Everything was very neat and clean. Very cosy and the view of the mountain was beautiful.

Eienaars was super vriendelik, huisie was baie skoon. Ons was daar vir 'n troue en ek het eienaar gevra of ons vroeër kan inteken, en sy het so gereël. Baie baie dankie vir julle moeite!

Cosy, modern.

Greeted very warmly, nice location, not too far from Main Street but quiet. High roof keeps cold. Very nice bed and bathroom. Kitchenette basic as advertised but was greeted by coffee (plunger and Nescafé) and milk in the fridge with rusks.

Marcelle was 'n wonderlike gasvrou wat vooruit met ons gekommunikeer het i.t.v. reëlings. Daar was baie "ekstras" soos elektriese komberse in die koue, heerlik koffie en tee en beskuit, botteltjies water en sjokolade. Baie dankie vir die bederf!

Ongelooflik

'n Ongelooflike mooi en ruim kothuis met 'n fantastiese uitsig. Die water en sjokolade in die yskas was 'n groot verrassing. Franschhoek is 'n baie warm plek en vir ons sou 'n lugversorger baie welkom wees.

A peaceful and relaxing getaway.

It was such a treat to stay in Marcelle’s Mountain View Cottage. It was clean, beautiful and had wifi and Netflix too. We are very fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience in Franschhoek in such a convenient location, close to the main center. A true gem, thank you Marcelle for having us.

Beautiful space and very accommodating.

I stayed over for business and checked in quite late. Was a great space to crash after a long day of work in the area. Worth every penny and value for money. Thank you.

Die gasvrou was besonders vriendelik en behulpsaam.

Die vertrek en badkamer is in 'n moderne boustyl met 'n pragtige uitsig oor Franschhoekberg. Die meubelment is netjies en pas by die moderne boustyl van die huis. 'n Effektiewe alarmstelsel help dat Gautengers nog rustiger slaap. Die omgewing is netjies en baie stil. Ons sou ons verblyf van twee nagte met nog 'n nag wou verleng, maar ander besprekings het gewag.

Check-in was friendly and efficient and the unit was clean and welcoming.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the small touches like fresh milk, risks and filter coffee. The unit is within easy walking distance of the centre and the surrounding area is picturesque and peaceful. We were lucky to have very good weather.

Ons verblyf by Mountain View Cottage is definitief aan te bevele. Ons is baie vriendelik ontvang. Ons uitsig na die berg is asemrowend!

Lieflike verblyf

Marcelle het ons baie vriendelik ontvang en laat tuis voel. Die ligging van die woonstel is letterlik stap afstand na die dorp self en 'n oulike klein dam vir so bietjie ekstra natuur. Woonstel is modern ingerig met 'n lieflike klein balkon wat op die Franschhoek klippe teken die bergpas uit kyk. Ons kort verblyf was aangenaam.

Baie netjies met luuksheid, prakties en ruim spasie. Was aangenaam verras om ruim kamer met lessenaar en kragpunte op regte plek te kry.

Sou verkies het om my kar binne te parkeer maar Franschhoek is heel veilig. Badkamer baie ruim en baie kopruimte vir stort. Sal enige tyd Mountain View Cottage aanbeveel en Marcelle was baie aangenaam en kamer pynlik netjies.

Daar was geen aanduidings hoe om daar te kom nie, geen naambordjie op die huis aangebring.

Geen klokkie nie, dis nie 'n cottage nie, maar n kamer met 'n en suite.

Comfort and luxury combined in a modern setting.

Marcelle welcomed us and explained a few details regarding the cottage. But nothing prepared us for the cottage itself. Modern, clean, beautiful linen and towels. Variety of coffee and tea! Milk and water in the fridge. Beautiful smelling hand wash and lotion in a big bathroom with big shower and bath. Huge comfortable bed, beautiful views. And the little extra (chocolate covered nougat) on the bedside tables was just super thoughtful! The location is central - if it wasn't so hot we would have walked everywhere.Thank you Marcelle for making our stay in Franschhoek so enjoyable! We will definitely be back.
