The Oleander Guesthouse is a glorious 100-year-old Edwardian house located centrally in the historic suburb of Belgravia in Kimberley. The house has a beautiful garden with a trademark oleander tree, speculated as being the largest oleander tree in South Africa, graciously positioned in the front garden. Come and experience the friendly, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere that this remarkable guest house has to offer.
Accommodation is offered in luxurious en-suite bedrooms that are each graciously decorated with French-colonial flair. Each room is equipped with modern conveniences and includes a flat-screen TV with a selection of DStv channels, free internet wireless connectivity, an electronic safe, honesty bar fridge, bathrobes and slippers, and a wide range of tea- and coffee-making facilities. Some of the executive rooms feature a private seating area where you can relax at your own comfort.
Oleander boasts a cosy restaurant on the premises, the Laurier Blanc, which is French for ‘White Oleander’. The restaurant is stylishly decorated with a touch of French flair and elegance, and offers a variety of seasonal dishes traditional to the Northern Cape. The visiting guests are welcomed when entering the restaurant through a wine collection passageway leading to the quaint interior, beautifully decorated with chandeliers, long draping curtains and neatly prepared dining tables. A typical French verandah opens from the restaurant with a vineyard pergola and 2 traditional water features that adds to the overall ambience, while enjoying exceptional food and some good quality wine.
Enjoy summer evenings on the terrace, or the wooden deck overlooking the 12-metre swimming pool and beautiful gardens or spend winter evenings in the comfort of the anthracite-heated lounge while sipping on a warm hot chocolate, cappuccino or a nightcap before retiring.
Access to the premises is well controlled, and our security consists of secure fenced parking, an electric fence, alarm, beams and CCTV cameras.
