Ou Klipskuur Self-Catering Accommodation is located approximately 25 km outside of the Northern Cape town of Fraserburg and offers quality, farm-style accommodation as well as a campsite. Here guests can enjoy rest, relaxation and true Karoo hospitality. It is the ideal overnight accommodation between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Ou Klipskuur also makes a great weekend breakaway destination for the tired city dweller. The starry night skies, sunny days and clean Karoo air will revive and restore.
The Oudeklip and Oudeskuur units, each comprises 1 bedroom and offer a TV with DStv. The bedrooms are each fitted with 2 single beds which can be converted into a king-size bed on request. The en-suite bathrooms each have a shower, toilet and basin. The bedrooms also feature electric blankets for those cold winter nights. The rooms also feature hair dryers and ceiling fans.
The kitchen in the Oudeklip unit is fully equipped with everything guests will need for self-catering. The Oudeskuur offers convenient and basic self-catering heat-and-eat facilities in a small kitchen. The lounge area has comfortable seating as well as a reading corner. The Oudeklip unit features a lovely fireplace and the Oudeskuur unit boasts a nice gas heater. Braai facilities are also available.
The Ou Klipskuur-Annex-unit comprises a bedroom, a bathroom, and a portal area. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, electric blanket, hairdryer, fan, and a gas heater. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, washbasin, and toilet. This unit offers comfortable seating and a little reading nook. The unit features a kitchenette and heating facilities.
Guests have access to free WiFi and are afforded secure covered parking for vehicles.
The campsite is under shade trees with a big farm dam that guests can use. There are three camping spots and ablution facilities with a basin, toilet and a shower with hot water. Facilities to do the dishes and portable braai facilities are made available to guests. Wi-Fi is provided for the camping area as well, while parking is available under shade trees.
Activities on the farm include relaxing next to the farm dam, hiking- and mountain biking trails, 4x4 routes, and birdwatching. Guests can also explore the Fraserburg area.
