A perfect destination to unwind, relax and experience the Midlands. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pear Tree Cottage, and the host excelled in making sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed for our self-catering visit.

Accessible and tranquil. A really tranquil spot, with plenty of restaurants nearby. A short walk takes you down to the tree-lined banks of the Lions River, which gives off a beautiful scent in the evening and the chorus of frogs. Birds abound in the garden. Gas hob, oven and geyser worked perfectly. The main bed was a little hard for me, but otherwise lovely.

Puik. Ons het baie lekker gebly. Die kothuis is baie netjies en alles is daar wat mens benodig. Ons het die hele tyd baie veilig gevoel. Die area is pragtig en toeganklik tot alle besienswaardighede in die omgewing.

Tranquility. Tranquil, warm and welcoming, inviting guests to relax and connect with nature while listening to the sounds of the Lions River. The accommodation is spacious inside and out. Definitely recommended.

Heerlik op die stoep gesit en kuier. Die kothuis is baie goed ingerig en mens voel sommer tuis. Die uitsig is pragtig en die blyplek is naby besienswaardighede in die Natalse middellande.

Pragtige verblyf! Baie lekker gebly! Great area en die diens en ontvangs was puik en uitstekend.

Peaceful. We had a wonderful stay at Pear Tree Cottage. Dominique was very accommodating. The beds were lovely and comfy, the cottage was very clean and well-equipped. We loved lying around on the beautiful lawn watching the birds and enjoying the greenery. The farm has a lot of history, so take the time to read the information booklet in the cottage; you will be surprised. We found the people in the area incredibly friendly. Do yourself a favour and visit the Milestone Forest nearby for a walk.

Great stay. The cottage has everything one needs for a few days' city break away. It's neat and cosy, and the host is super caring and friendly. It's a short walk to the Lion's River for relaxing walks along the river.
