Angela, I must really compliment you on being the first person to have found any fault with this room. For most of December, up until the day you arrived, the room was fully occupied and all guests gave 10/10 ratings. I did mention to you before you booked in that we had a problem with the toilet, which was brought to our attention that day. Although I assumed that it had been repaired, unfortunately this was not the case, thereby leading to the problem that occurred that night when you used it, also unfortunately, during load shedding. Consequently, I was unable to attend to the problem properly. However, I did let you have the key to the room next door so you could use that toilet. Although not the ideal situation, it would have provided some relief. As for the rest of the complaints, there is not much that I can say except that after a busy holiday season, the carpets at the room entrances may have shown some degree of dirt, but not to the extent that you may have made it seem. I believe this would be normal and fair wear on most light carpets. As for the water from the wash basin draining through the shower, well, that has been there from the beginning and has never been an issue with any guest before your comment. Moreover, it is not unhygienic, as it is cleaned regularly.
You were very happy with the room on your arrival and despite me requesting you to bring any problems to my attention so that we could attend to them as best we could, you never mentioned any of them except for the toilet.
Under the circumstances, I am extremely disappointed in your review as I thought that you were very understanding of our predicament, but apparently you were not. I can merely once again offer my sincere apologies for the inconvenience. And since you have stated that you will not support us again, the discount that I promised you for a future stay with us is now irrelevant.
