Club members and the staff genuinely welcoming. Great place, indeed a home away from home.

Does the job. As expected. No frills but pleasant and clean. The staff are friendly and the food was good.

Karaktervolle verblyf met goeie kos maar kamers nie op standaard nie. Dit is so oulike plek met baie geskiedenis en karakter. Die kamers het dringende aandag nodig. Die restaurant se kos was van uitstaande gehalte en die diens vriendelik - ek kan beslis aanbeveel (so ook ontbyt). Moet asb. nie toelaat dat hierdie spesiale plek verlore gaan met slaapplek/badkamers nie op standaard nie!

Aan almal, veral die ou man by ontvangs, baie dankie. Baie lekker, die kos is uitstekend (baie geniet, dankie aan die chef). Die warm water moet aan wees met aankoms. Die ketel moet werk.

Het my nie op beskrekingsboek gehad met aankoms. Plek is skoon en netjies.

Teleurstellend. Kamers ruik na muf. Daar was nie handdoeke beskikbaar nie. Toe ons gaan vra, is daar gesê dat die skoonmakers klaar huistoe is en daar is nie sleutels vir die linnekamer nie. Die restaurant is nie heeltyd oop nie.

Rooms need updating and attention. Rooms are quite old and in need of updating. I have stayed in much nicer locations for less than what they are charging per night. Paint is coming off on the walls due to damp. So-called curtains are old and coming apart. No hot water to shower with in the morning; had to run the taps for 10 minutes to get slightly warm water.

Unacceptable that the gate is closed at 20:00 and no gate remote. The kitchen and bar were closed. I have stayed in the Pietersburg Club before - basic but did not find it unpleasant. On the night of the 17th, though I booked and paid while travelling, since we decided ad hoc that we will stay over in Polokwane. We arrived at 18:00. The staff - no problems from their side, they were friendly and helpful - informed us that the club is locked after 20:00 - no remote gate key - so effectively you are locked in for the evening with no way to go to restaurants, etc. We might even have arrived after 20:00 not knowing that we would not be able to get in. Previously, you would find people on the stoep, having a beer and a nice atmosphere - now I'm not sure what happened. No fridge in the rooms.

Nothing to write home about. I didn't like it much. So many basic essentials were not included. No security at the gate, and no remotes to access the property when you want to go out and be back late. No water in the bedrooms, old model plugs, and they were not strategically placed for convenience. We couldn't charge our gadgets from the bedside. The bathroom was leaking, and the entrance door lock looked like it had been tampered with, which made us doubt the security of the place.

Stay was okay, but no hot water to shower. As always the room was clean and nice, however it is now the second time staying here that we had no hot water for the shower.
