Ontspanne in 'n pragtige natuur. Monk Cowl is baie naby. Reptielpark is die moeite werd om te besoek. Baie lekker gebly. Die tuin is aangenaam. Pragtige uitsig. 'n Mooi plek om te geniet van die natuur.

We will definitely be visiting again! Magnificent. The views, the hospitality and the absolute tranquility were highlights.

Spectacular location - accommodation has its limitations. As two friends, we had a good stay at Pumula. The location is everything - spectacular views and proximity to Monks Cowl and other local attractions. The house has history - but that doesn't make it an easy house to stay in. One toilet is OK for 2 guests, but would have been a challenge with 4 - especially as it's in the bathroom. There is no shower - just a bath. But the water pressure is very low, so running a bath takes forever and would be horrible in winter. Hot water pressure in the kitchen is almost non-existent. The bedrooms/toilet are separate from the main living area - so, in winter, you would have to go in and out of cold/wet weather to use the loo or collect something from a bedroom. We arrived on a cold night in November and had to use hot water bottles to keep warm in the lounge. I definitely wouldn't book here for winter - there is a fireplace, but it doesn't service the bedroom area or bathroom. Had to scratch around to find a way to clean the bath between guests. Was told the water is not good for drinking - luckily we carried water from home. It is very easy to lock yourself out of the living area (we see from reviews we are not the only people to do this) - felt bad asking for assistance at 10 pm. On the upside, the beds were comfy and the kitchen is very well equipped - and did I mention the views?! A hard review to write - as our trip was basically fine once we were through the cold snap. It's just not a place I could recommend for more than 2/3 people and I think a winter visit could be quite uncomfortable. If history/quaintness is your thing, Pumula is great but I think other places in the area probably offer easier accommodation.

We had a such a lovely stay. We could make a fire at night which kept us warm. The views of Champagne Castle and other peaks and surrounding mountains was incredible. We woke up at dawn and enjoyed the sunrise every morning. Pumula is such a special place. It has a very warm and homely feel. Wood was provided for the fire which was a real bonus.

Was ongelooflik mooi en rustig gewees. Ons as gesin het heerlik gekuier. Die ligging is perfek en die uitsig onbeskryflik mooi. Ek kon vir ure net buite onder die boom sit en na die berge kyk. Omgewing is nie besig nie en jy rus!

Asemrowende natuurskoon. Baie dankie dat julle bereid is om julle pragtige juweel met ander te deel. Dit is 'n pragtige, netjies en toegeruste plek. Naby aan alles en die uitsig is ongelooflik!

Baie mooi en rustige omgewing. Kort onderdak-braaigeriewe vir wanneer dit reën.
