An oasis between Gauteng and Natal. Stayed one night at Reis n Rus, on the way from Gauteng to the Natal coast. I was made to feel very welcome by the owner and had a wonderful stay, it was my 2nd visit this year at Reis n Rus, and I can definitely recommend it. The view over the mountain is exceptional. Very nice guest house and pleasant host. Had a wonderful stay at Reis n Rus. I stayed one night on my way to Pietermaritzburg to take part in the Midmar Mile, and Harrismith was ideally located between Vanderbijlpark and Midmar. As a solo traveler Reis n Rus completely met my requirements. The house is well fenced and the guard dogs on their post. Can really recommend this guest house. Thank you Uncle Johan.

Absolutely great. They went out of their way from the time we got there until we left. Especially for us, a braai with firewood and table is set up right in front of our room. Was informed in advance about load shedding and would start generator if we wanted it. Room was spotlessly clean and it was very tidy. Thank you very much Mel.
