Hidden gem in prime spot.

This is a unique accommodation with a breathtaking view. It has everything you need for self-catering and is in the perfect location within the valley. Very safe, very well looked after, 10/10 for comms, and a bit of a hidden gem. The space is perfect for a getaway and to experience something different; felt very content in the cave setup. The photos are accurate. Only thing was hoping was that the rockpools were to be running with cascading water as in the pics, but that is probably more seasonal to summer. It was nevertheless a magical pool! Sweet geese that visited added to the ambience; we were sad to leave. Spot on with information and checking up, makes the whole experience that more enjoyable and secure.

Perfect get away.

It was exactly what the doctor ordered. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful, cosy and close to all the activities in the area. The host was a brilliant host. Very accommodating to all our needs. Definitely will be visiting again.

Pleasant, unique housing.

We had a short, but pleasant stay at the Rockwood Earth Lodge. It was a little early, and it was hard to contact the owners, but other than that, they were very helpful.

Relaxing, private and unique. If you love the rough life, this is the place. Welcoming host.

Die ligging is ideaal en die omgewing is baie mooi.

Die eenheid was glad nie op standaard nie. Beddegoed was in baie slegte toestand. Lakens het merke op. Linne en komberse is nie netjies en skoon gewas nie. Breekware is vuil en in slegte toestand. Die rots-swembad kon ons glad nie eers in swem nie a.g.v. vuil water. Daar was geen skoonmaakdiens nadat ons twee aande daar oorgeslaap het nie. Skottelgoed is gewas in skottelgoedseep wat glad nie eers skuim nie, so baie swak kwaliteit produkte wat gebruik word. Daar was geen verwelkomingskoffie of tee nie.

Fully equipped holiday home.

Beautifully placed with lots of space for the whole family. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Had evenings of fun braaing, playing pool and darts. Already looking at booking another stay there.

Quirky, fun accommodation in a beautiful setting.

It was a lot of fun staying in our 'cave' for two nights. The space is compact but easily fits in all the essentials and a little more. With gas for cooking, and light bulbs that still work when power is off, loadshedding isn't an issue. The location in Central Berg is spectacular, and the quirky rock cave is set in beautiful gardens on the edge of a lovely swimming pool with private braai and firepit areas.

Was very nice, love the atmosphere.

The scenary was amazing, old vintage but the best I will recommend people to go there. Very safe as well. The tour guy was very helpful. Will definitely go again.

Pragtige uitsig, goeie ligging en kinders is mal oor die natuur buite.

Baie groot, alles wat jy nodig het huis met lieflike stoep. Baie vir die kinders om te verken en uitstekende ligging. Sal definitief weer teruggaan!

Absoluut beeldskoon en rustig in die stilte van die Drakensberge.

This is a little gem in the foot hills of the majestic Drakensburg on route R600. This place will long for you to even stay longer. Place in nice, clean and well taken care of. Strict policies of no noise you can then enjoy the peacefulness

Very different to the conventional but cozy and fun!

The ‘flintstones’ tipe accommodation is very cozy and so different to the expected. The ‘room’ was neat and tidy, maybe the two plate stove could be upgraded to match the micro but it was functional. The area is safe and good for a relaxing breakaway, no TV to disturb and convenient to visit the various Drakensberg sites and trails

Ongelooflike lekker tyd gewees - hierdie is beslis die moeite werd!

Rockwood Lodge is voorwaar 'n lekker kuierplek, met 'n swembad, natuurskoon, berguitsig ens. Waarde vir geld en baie vriendelike en effektiewe personeel om jou verblyf daar lekker te maak. Ek sal dit definitief aanbeveel vir 'n gesin wat privaatheid wil hê - well done Helmut en span!

Ongelooflike fasiliteit met 'n besonderse ligging met privaatheid en baie goed toegerus.

Hierdie is 'n baie charming plek en is een van die bes toegeruste huise. Die ligging en uitsigte is onverbeterlik en dit bied 'n lekker rustige gevoel tesame met veiligheid. Die gasheer, Helmut, is fantasties en die Champagnevallei is beslis die beste bestemming in die Drakensberg-reeks.
