Disappointing.

There were some real issues with the holiday cottage, but a couple of positives: The car was parked up a hill with stairs. Very difficult to get baggage up and down. No mention of this on advertised site. Outside sliding door could not lock. Curtains to front bedroom completely transparent, so zero privacy and bad for trying to get any sleep, as the outside lights were on at night for security reasons. Front bedroom bed terribly uncomfortable. Mattress bad/lumpy. No bedside lamps in either bedroom. No wall plugs in either bedroom. Only one plug in lounge, so used for charging everything, phones, hairdryers etc. No microwave or toaster or Weber braai. These were evident in the photos advertising the place but had disappeared by the time we visited. Owner was responsive and supplied new gas canister when we told them this was empty and we were unable to cook. The setting is pretty and the complex appears to be well run. Unfortunately the issues far outweigh the positives and we will not stay here again. We are experienced AirBnB customers and this fell well short of expectations, but charged a premium.
