Stunning! Magnificent, unblocked views of the coves and ocean. Shick Shack is well designed and well equipped, with a dishwasher and wifi too! The sound of the sea reminds you of how close you are to the rocks and beach - less than a 5-minute walk to swim in a cove. Great for relaxing and entertaining. Cannot think of any negatives!

Pragtig en rustig. Dis 'n lekker blyplek met 'n asemrowende uitsig uit al die leefvertrekke. Eersterivier strand is baie afgeleë, so dit is ideaal as jy wil wegbreek van die stad.

Panoramic views. Beautiful house. Quiet. Not pet-friendly. Surrounded by wilderness and forest, so lots of creepy crawlies.

Fantastied. Lekker familietyd en rustige atmosfeer vir enige familie en uitsig was baie mooi, asook familie tyd saam te spandeer. Sal weer die geleentheid gebruik.

Beautiful views, and very relaxing. Had a wonderful time, didn't want to leave.

Stukkie hemel op aarde. Dis regtig 'n stukkie hemel op aarde. Gerieflik met alles wat mens nodig het. Nie 'n groot swemstrand nie, so hierdie is meer 'n rus vir die siel tipe plek. Daar is wel 'n paar plekkies waar mens toegang tot die strandjies kry. Ongelooflike mooi uitsig. Ons sal definitief weer gaan. So 'n lekker plaasgevoel. Al negatief was dat die skoonmaker 'n uur en 'n half voor uitkloktyd voor die deur gestaan het om skoon te maak want daar was nuwe gaste op pad.

Not very well maintained. Our stay at Shick Shack was pleasant, but not sure we will be coming back anytime soon. The location and proximity to the ocean is ideal and the beds are very comfortable, but that’s where it stopped for us. The place is rather run-down and has a lot of rust throughout. Most of the sea-facing locks are rusted which makes them difficult to open/close, lock and unlock. The main stacking doors to the terrace are so rusted that they have come off their hinges completely.   As a result they needed to be opened by an adult each time to avoid the kids being injured if they happened to come off. Thankfully they didn't. The sliding door lock downstairs in the left bedroom is so rusted that it can’t be locked.   As a result we couldn't put the kids in there as someone could have come in at any time. Not too safe. The water pressure and showers were really great, but we were rather put off by the heavily mouldy shower heads in both upstairs showers. The lounge light switch is faulty and did not always turn on. When they did come on, a somewhat concerning cracking sound came from the inside of the switch. Whilst there was a wifi code, the wifi did not work. The instructions say that if we wanted to watch TV that we would bring our own decoder. Which we did because we wanted to watch the SA vs NZ rugby game. But there is no TV in the house so I'm not sure where they intended for us to plug the decoder into. Very disappointing and we had to make other plans to go out to catch the game. The carpet in the main bedroom appears to have been soiled by (what I can only suspect is) a small dog, and not cleaned very well. Obvious brown stains on the gray carpets. We certainly appreciate that a home like this is difficult to maintain, however, we get the sense that it is not being taken care of and being left to decay as time goes by. I do think this can all be fixed if the owners put some love into what I am sure was once a really beautiful, well-loved home. 3/10 I’m afraid.

Baie goeie waarde vir geld Baie skoon en netjies. Geen TV - nie dat dit ons gepla het nie. Braai-area agter die huisie aan die pad se kant. Skitterend ingerig!

Lekker kuierhuis met die beste uitsig. Baie lekker gebly. Warm gesellige huis en diens was uitstekend.

Pragtige groot huis met fyner detail teenwoordig - beslis n besoek werd! Baie ruim woning met lieflike see uitsigte van orals in die huis and van al die kamers. Alles wat nodig is vir 'n onvergeetlike wegbreek is daar. 'n Baie netjiese woning waar goeie memoriies gemaak word. Sal besis weer terug gaan!
