Description
Shipwreck Lodge offers all-inclusive accommodation, and is located between the Hoarusib and Hoanib River in the Skeleton Coast Park, situated approximately 45 km north from Mowe Bay.
This solar-powered lodge offers picturesque views of the dunes and desert, and is visited by the cold Benguela current that brings a refreshing breeze to the property. Accommodation at Shipwreck Lodge comprises 8 Twin chalets and 2 Family chalets that are individually decorated.
Each chalet is furnished with twin beds, and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. In addition, each chalet contains a writing desk, bedside lamps, and a wood-burning stove. Tea- and coffee-making facilities will be brought to each chalet.
Breakfast and other meals are served in the restaurant area, in the main building. The lodge also features a bar area and a deck that overlooks the horizon. Sundowner drives in the dunes, beach picnic lunches, visits to the Mowe Bay seal colony, Hoarusib River excursions, and other day tours can be arranged for guests.
