Description
Cross Pollination Chalets & Camping (previously Shondoro) is situated in Vaalwater on a bushveld farm inside the malaria-free Waterberg Mountains. The property offers rustic stone-and-thatch cottages and private campsites.
The cottages include Reedbuck Cottage, which accommodates 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, and Klipspringer Cottage, which accommodates 2 guests. Both units include air-conditioning in the main room (a powerful ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom). En-suite bathrooms for every room, and private braai bomas. Wifi is included. The kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering. Luxury soft bed linens, towels, and complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities are provided.
Bushbuck Chalet is opening soon.
Two private campsites are also available. Valley View offers a secluded camping space with an open-air bush shower. Mountain Dam Sunset View offers views of the dam and the surrounding mountains. Both campsites have no toilets or kitchen facilities and are suited to fully self-sufficient guests.
On-site facilities include a communal swimming pool overlooking the mountains, as well as several walking and mountain-biking trails suitable for various fitness levels. Take a walk up the mountain for a spectacular view. The retreat provides a peaceful environment with good birdwatching and tree spotting. The property is accessible to sedans, although a high-clearance vehicle such as an SUV is preferred.
The wellness products store and fitness area are open for bookings from Sunday to Thursday, and on Friday until 5pm.
Though we are self-catering, we can upon request serve farm to table meals.

Breakfast is R125.00 per person to eat and includes a nice spread. What we produce on site is organic and natural, as we use no chemicals. Bon Appetit!!
Dinner is upon request at a stated price depending on the dish available that evening. We do have many items available from our farm to the table including RAW milk, homemade yogurt, sour cream, kefir and butter, beef & lamb, sourdough bread, jams and compotes, herbs, eggs, fruit and veg. Additionally our drinks are an ice cold and homemade probiotic kombucha tea or ice coffee, alternatively a hot extracted Moka Pot or French press style coffee, or an herbal flower tea blend from items we grow. R30 per each.
