Strawberry Hill Farm offers comfortable self-catering accommodation on a farm bordering Grootvaderbosch Nature Reserve within the Grootvaderbosch Conservancy. Strawberry Hill gets its name from the wild strawberries that used to grow on the farm. The farm is 19 km from the town of Heidelberg and 43.4 km from Swellendam.
The farm comprises 3 units and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Forest Lodge is a rustic cottage with lots of character and can accommodate 6 guests. Strawberry Hill Lodge is a renovated house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with lovely mountain views. Jenny’s Cottage is a spacious 1 bedroom cottage on the edge of the reserve, accommodating 3 guests.
Strawberry Hill Farm offers braai facilities, a fireplace on the premises, hiking and walking trails, and river pools nearby.
The farm is surrounded by 120 km of custom-built mountain bike trails, combined into 4 routes which form part of the Grootvaderbosch Conservancy trail network. In addition to hiking, biking, and bird watching, the farm is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
