Sugarlands Cottage was exactly what we were looking for, in the right location. Sugarlands Cottage was exactly what we were looking for in the right location for our needs. The extensive grass surrounds were freshly mowed and this imparted an English countryside feel on arrival. There is now a full fridge/freezer and a gas stove/oven in the kitchen. Kate and her children came and introduced themselves on the afternoon of our arrival. Kate assisted us with her local knowledge and this made things easier. The dam provides a tranquil setting to idly watch the ducks and birds go about their day. Kate's communication was excellent.

Gemaklik, veilig en troeteldiervriendelik. Dit voel of jy op jou eie plaas bly, die huisie is veilig omhein en jou hondekinders is welkom om veilig rond te hardloop in jou eie 'erf'. Die uitsig oor die plaasdam is lieflik en die huisie is goed toegerus. Dit was 'n lekker pitstop tydens my lang pad huis toe.

Excellent location, fantastic hosts, fully equipped cottage. Awesome experience. Kate is a wonderful hostess and always made sure that we were okay and had anything we needed. The cottage is so lovely and very clean. Because of the heavy snow, the electricity was out from Friday night right through till when we left on Sunday, but it didn't affect us since the cottage was equipped with a gas stove, gas heater and the fireplace.

Peaceful, relaxing and fun! Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay at Sugarlands Cottage. We were able to watch the rugby and braai. The view is awesome and there are lovely restaurants and coffee shops nearby! It was a perfect little getaway for my fiancé and me.

Netjies skoon en rustig! Dit was heerlik gewees. Rustig en dit was heerlik langs die dam. Kon 'n vuurtjie maak en braai. Jammer weer het nie saam gespeel nie.

Good value for money. Recommended. Absolutely lovely spot next to a beautiful dam. Early morning passing parade of birds, otters, horses, cows and sheep. Peaceful, homely cottage. Will definitely be back. Good restaurant - Fabels, close by. Attentive and friendly hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stopover.
