House Rules

WELCOME TO SUNSET SPLENDOUR!

To ensure a fantastic stay for you and future guests, here are some guidelines:

1. Baboons
Please do not leave any open windows or doors unattended. The baboons will take any opportunity they get! Do not feed or leave food for the baboons. If they come into the garden, close all windows and doors and enjoy watching the wildlife from inside. They will soon move on.

In case of a home invasion, open doors and make a noise to get them out.

2. Respect the Peace - No Parties:
Pringle Bay forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. Keeping noise levels down, especially after 9pm, helps maintain a good relationship with our community.

3. Smoke-Free Stay:
Our home is a strict no-smoking zone, which helps us maintain a fresh environment. Please smoke outside on the deck or in the garden and dispose of your cigarette butts responsibly.

4. Pet Policy:
We’re a pet-free home, which includes animals of all types.

5. Jacuzzi Safety:
After a day at the beach, please wash off sun lotion and sand before entering the jacuzzi.

Please ensure that, without exception, children are supervised at all times while using the jacuzzi. Additionally, strictly no glassware is allowed in the jacuzzi to prevent accidents and injuries.

6. Rubbish and Recycling:
Please place all rubbish in black bags in the bin. Do not leave black bags in the street or outside overnight – keep rubbish out of reach of baboons.

There is a waste drop-off (household waste, black bags & recycling only) near the entrance to Pringle Bay (along Hangklip Road on the right before the juncture with the R44). It is open Mondays to Sundays from 08:00 – 16:00 and public holidays from 08:00 – 16:00.

7. Handling Damages:
Accidents happen. If something gets damaged, please let us know so we can take care of it.

8. Simple Clean-Up:
Before you leave, please wash and put away any dishes or kitchenware you've used, but please don’t feel you have to strip the beds or wipe the floors, we’ll take care of that!

9. Fires
No fires except in the braai facilities and please don’t leave any fire unattended.

10. French Drain / Septic Tank
Nothing else but toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilets. Repairing blocked drains due to non-permitted items will be for the guest’s account. Let us know asap if a drain is blocked.

11. When leaving
Please ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked and leave the house in a respectable condition.
