Excellent, beautiful well-managed reserve, friendly staff, lots of animals. The stay at Tala Fisherman's cottage was absolutely awesome. We were lucky to have no neighbours the first day and enjoyed the solitude and peacefulness. Only unfortunate was the neighbours that arrived late at night the next day. The cottage is very, very close to each other, so this would be best to book both with friends or family. Other than the room definitely needing an aircon, it is a fantastic place with lots of animals coming close. The boma was excellent and clean with firewood provided. Love this place; would come back again and again.

Wonderful getaway in the bush, loads of birdlife! Our stay was very peaceful. However, the accommodation is actually 2 cottages attached to each other, and you can hear every conversation of the people next door. It's not clear when you book that there are 2 cottages attached! Tala needs to change this advertising on their website. They also need to build a wall in between for a bit more privacy. Thanks so much.

Great setting. Nice nature setting. Room adequate and clean. The only problem is the condition of the roads: not conducive to a rental Suzuki Espresso with 13-inch wheels. Due to wet conditions, the car picked up mud that I had to hose off before I could return the vehicle at the airport. There was no WiFi in the accommodation, fortunately I could access Vodacom on my phone.

Saw many animals and had nice 4x4 rides. Good, the first night the braai area was dirty and full of leaves.

This place doesn’t deserve to be on Viya, it’s way way below your status. The 1/5 I gave them on the ratings is even a lot. The place we slept at was very far from the reception, and there were no means of getting hold of them when you were there, plus they didn’t even check up on us there, even their emergency number doesn’t work cause after the people at reception directed us to where we gonna sleep, our car got stuck in a muddy road and we needed their help, we couldn’t get hold of them even on the emergency number. We had to get out of the car and make a plan to get it out of the mud, mind you the place has wild animals roaming around, it was so risky and scary. Whatever you do in life, don't book this place. The roads inside the resort are so bad you definitely gonna spend a lot to fix your car after visiting this nasty place. I’m disappointed in Viya for having this place on their website and letting your customers book it.

Superb. Hidden gem, booked for my husband's 40th birthday. Really enjoyed. Had comfortable, clean lodges with a huge and comfy bed. Awesome, friendly and very helpful staff members in the lodge and restaurant. The Segway and game drives were awesome ,saw rhino's, hippos, and lots of animals. The animals also visited tour lodge and can be visible the room and patio, food at the restaurant was tasty and atmosphere chilled and relaxed. Overall great experience.
