Unforgettable stay like in paradise. It is the most beautiful place to stay. Spacious, clean, in nature and the friendliest people. I would love to stay there again.

Good facilities, lovely view, great hosts ─ power supply is a very real problem. Bring your own flashlight! We left Magoesbasfloof Mountain Estate (the Dungeon) before our stay expired because of the prolonged and frequent power failures (this was not load shedding). Excluding the travel days, of the 3 full days we spent at Magoebaskloof Mountain Estate, 2 days were without power. The specific issue was around planned maintenance from Eskom which were communicated to the locals, but only communicated to us when the first day without power arrived. We were left with two candles in the unit and could not really self-cater without the electricity and had to spend more time away from the unit than we planned. The staff did acknowledge that power supply is often a problem for them especially in summer. The unit itself is good and has everything you need (when there is power) and the views and location is great. As for the hosts, they are lovely people, they tried to compensate for the frequent power failures by offering us a free breakfast at the boma close by. They also helped us to pick up a package which was really going the extra mile in that regard. Worth-while place to stay if not for power problems.
